31. Pathetic Religious Superstition
Yaacob ,   Toronto Canada   (03.31.09)
Here we have evidence that religion is superstition. A similar situation took place in South Africa. The federal minister of education, who handled a portfolio of millions of dollars, would not go into her office because of a hex her predecessor put on the room. It is sad that people let themselves be led by the likes of these.
32. Don't Make Fun Of The Rabbi ...
Christy ,   Boston, US   (03.31.09)
,, he may indeed be experiencing something supernatural that's tormenting him. As A Christian, I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe demonic spirits can plague people. They need to be driven out so the living can have peace. Don't know if there are any Jewish exorcists, but the Rabbi should ask around for one. I believe the Catholics have official exorcists that may be able to assist in this matter. I would not want to live in a house plagued by demonic spirits. The sooner gone the better,

a ghost in the house, enjoy the company, this tenant don't leave mess behind and you don't need to bother about rent money, it's nice when you think about it and if it's a late colleague you can even get consultation from him about religious matters.

Where did you get the "inanimate" bit from? Nothing in the article suggests that. Other than that, you might (not) like to know that orthodox judaism accepts that souls (or certain parts of them at least) can remain "earthbound" for any number of reasons and require a little help to move on. Whether this is the case here is another matter, but in theory, judaism accepts the idea - unless of course one happens to subscribe to a branch of judaism that has adopted 20th century western beliefs instead.
36. 35 - western beliefs or rabbinical fairy tales?
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (04.02.09)
hmm, that's a tough one. not that this is the choice, but to take the fanciful stories of rabbis who have absolutely no clue what they are talking about, especially when it comes to anything spiritual. you can believe that a house can be possessed by a spirit. maybe, if the spirit is lucky, it will be taken to heaven in a UFO? why not?
37. Matthew, try not to let transgression give an excuse
Fake Jew ,   USA   (04.03.09)
to repeat itself in you. In other words....if you don't want a bad spirit living in your house, don't let the sin return. Don't justify a bad spirit.
38. Michael of Israel....its not about "magic names"

39. So You All Think it's a Joke . . .
KB ,   SF CA   (04.04.09)
I really cannot beleive the immature remarks on this talkback. I personally have experienced this in my home, and I can tell you it is no joke, it is not funny! I have been scared out of my mind by things that have occured from a spirit that has been inhabiting my home for over a decade now. I am an intelligent and rational person, also I am a Jew who is very spiritual. So unless you have experienced something like this, don't make fun of what you do not understand.
