Since sharon fell ill, I have worried non-step for Israel.Put in the hands of olmert who I knew vaguely as advisor to sharon, I worried. At the beginning, Livni could have competed for the PM ship, but she deferred to Olmert, as she did after winograd and then later as she did when olmert refused to leave the PM office. So she has confidence problems. But Olmert worried me. I detected a cowardice and fear in him combined with his lack of military combat experience. Then I learned that he hustled his kids out of the country to avoid the idf. And his manner worried me . With arabs, he demanded nothing, treated them in extraordinary ways, exalting them as if to say-I was nice to you, don't harm us. Later,he made me nauseous in his negotiations where he offered everything in advance without support from israelis, and demanded nothing concrete in return. Furthurmore, he interfered in the lebanon war, worried about casualties, did not question halutz about the risks of ari power alone, and committed too few troops to a stupid strategy much as he restricted the idf to 500 yard entry into gaza(so stupid). You saw him grovel before bush, which was obscen. Then he deferred to erdogan and assad for oral understandings?? Even Bush challenged him ... how can you trust assad to which he had no answer. Okay, its over, whatever Bibi does may not work. I am okay with Bibi as his heart is in the right place and he knows as most israelis know that you cannot trust arabs. That is an absolute fact for over 2000 years. By the way, the americans at times are very stupid and clumsy in policy even though their aid is good. But Olmert is gone and n ow I can relax. And Bibbi will not continue olmert's way or even livni's way because that i s the way into the gas chamber. Israelis don't know how lucky they are that this utter failure-crook chamberlain-Olmert almost screwed them out of country.

and if you lose you win. the biggest loser: Livni's Kedima won the most seats, and she's now nowhere. The winner: Netanyahu came in second, but he's leading the government. The big winner: Barak was the big loser, chairing Labor's crash and burn, but merely by holding out, he turned into the big winner, securing for himself the Defence Ministry and a bunch more key ministries for his fellow Laborites, "as if he'd won," and at the expense of the (Likud) "winners". What a system! Truly amazing!
