1. They would have to PAY ME to fly with those scoundrels
Tomer ,   Herzeliyya   (03.31.09)
El Al: Frequent cancellations Poor Service Lost luggage Confusion Minimal Leg room That's why they are losing money & NO LONGER fly to: Manchester, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Istanbul, Larnaca, Chicago, Miami or Montreal
2. How about a Settler Expulsion Ministry?
Nour ,   Palestine   (03.31.09)
3. WHY NOT JUST OFFER ALL EXPATS
steve ,   tel aviv, israel   (03.31.09)
cabinet posts?
4. Which makes expatriation only more tempting
Felix ,   Isra(h)ell   (03.31.09)
With all the new conditions for returning citizens, all the discounts and financial assistance, one might wonder what the point in staying here is then? Now, more than ever before, leaving the country is a reasonable and expedient choice. Instead of helping those miserable newcomers from USSR who have wasted so many years here sweeping and dry-cleaning, the ministry decides to attract some wandering souls. No wonder fewer and fewer Jews decide to make aliya every year...

what about flights from south africa
6. Not coming home soon
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (03.31.09)
Here is one ex-pat that will be standing pat - at least for the time being. Of course, I would want nothing more than to be back in Israel but here's why i wont be coming home soon: I am an Orthodox Jew. In the US, I can be be a normal person, enjoying everything else that anyone else enjoys even though I am an Orthodox Jew. Being observant here in the US does not prohibit me from doing anything or being anyone I want. In Israel, as an Orthodox Jew you are prohibitted by the establishment from being an ordinary Israeli. Instead, in Israel you are labeled "a Hareid" or "an ultra-Orthodox" and as such, you are limited by both your type and teh rest of Israeli society.
7. all of you are jealous and petty
Get over yourselves   (03.31.09)
and should look to yourselves to change as it would be a favor to all of Israel. Talk about cutting off your noses to spite your faces. Such foolishness. And no, I am not an expat....
8. ElAL = below average
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (03.31.09)
Advantages: 1. Great food (fresh pitta and humous to start, smoked salmon etc). 2. Sexy flight attendants. 3. Security. 4. Family service. They will always do their best to get an Israeli home even when u've missed ur flight by hours. 5. Good prices (To london anyway maybe not elswhere in europe tho). Disadvantages: 1. No whisky for coach class, only beer or wine. 2. Seat back ent. hardly ever works, enjoy your boring trip. 3. Dossim acting weird. Don't you know we're the REAL JEWS?? How obnoxious are they? Knees in the back of your seat and setting new records for nose picking (is that a cave renovation your mining in there?). Naaaah. Sorry. For an extra $100 even its worth to fly BA, have decent food, a half empty plane, more whisky than you ever saw and tons of great movies.... Yalla BA!!
9. 4 - your post is presumably dry humor since it's not serious
martin ,   Tel Aviv   (03.31.09)
Perhaps you intended to add humor but your post sad. Israel has been added to significantly by olehs from the former Soviet Union (I made aliyah from the UK) - they added enormously to the hi-tech, to the arts and they also do the menial jobs that native born Israeli's believe to be beneath them. One can only assume that you have not succeeded in life as you would have hoped to do, and as many many others in Israel, managed to do, and that's a pity. Martin

observer   (03.31.09)
the Absorption Ministry is going to buy the expats' undos for they are to be sent into exile, not return to Khazaria.
11. Notice they are BEFORE tax prices
William ,   Israel   (03.31.09)
The tax alone with quadruple the ticket price. I've seen ticket prices cheap at first only to see taxes for everything under the sun for many hundreds more.
12. #2 - or an even better idea, two-way flights on ElAl
William ,   Israel   (03.31.09)
Repratriate israelis back into Israel, and move Pals to a destination country of their choice on the outbound. Since El Al doesn't fly to original destinations of Pal illegal immigrants, like Syria and Iraq, you'll have to settle for UK, Egypt, or Argentina.
13. #10 - Observe this - None of us are from Kazakstan
William ,   Israel   (03.31.09)
Most of my friends and family are pure Israelis - going back many, many generations. I have other friends forced out of Arab countries for being no more than Jewish, though not Zionist. And those who did come pre-Israel time all have land deeds - paid for and legal... Though I wonder why you never brought up the illegal immigration of Arabs in the 1930s which flooded many hundreds of thousands into a region looking for jobs, renting homes or just usurping them from the absentee owners, rather than actually buying them.
14. To those crying "foul" to this offer
William ,   Israel   (03.31.09)
You don't seem to be concerned when Israel sends its fleet of El Al planes to pick up Israelis stranded abroad due to terrorism or natural disaster - at a moment's notice and at no cost to the passenger. Stop thinking like individual crybabies and start thinking like a strong Jewish community. Your selfishness will (again) be the downfall of Jewish society.
15. Be thankful you didn't fly with Alitalia a few months ago
Logic ,   Israel   (03.31.09)

16. #13 it is the American Protestants who have to care
observer   (03.31.09)
If the truth about the Khazaric nature of the Ashkenazi Jews were to become wide, they would recognize that the Zionists are not descendants of Abraham, and are therefore not covered by the promise in Genesis 12:1-2. If only the Dispensational Protestants knew their Bible better, this wouldn't matter. After all, "not all who are descended from Israel are Israel"!! (Romans 9:6) The Bible is very clear that it doesn't matter whether you are a Jew or a Gentile. God is gathering to Himself a People from every nation on the earth.
17. Returning for Yom Atzmaut
rixx ,   Melbourne, Australia   (04.01.09)
What about us who live in Asia Australia/New Zealand????
18. To #6, Poor You! You've been away too long
Andi ,   Israel   (04.03.09)
You've obviously been reading too many newspaper articles. You now, those that tell you that Israel is a dangerous place, that its an economic basket case, that its about to implode due to, Jewish/Arab conflict, religious/ secular conflict, ultra-orthodx/zionist religious conflict etc, etc. You've been away too long, Besalel and have actually started to believe your newspapers. Come home Besalel.. You'll love it here. Don't confuse vibrant political debate and disagreement for existential conflict or societal breakdown. Israel is not about to go under, and the Ultra-orthodox?Haredi lifestyle which you strive for has never been more secure and alive. People here complain because they care, not because they are miserable. Most wouldn't live any where else, they love it here.
