1. In the USA, they would have blown him off for 30 years

Congrats to Israel's IDF, for doing the moral thing and supporting this person in his illness. The giant issue in the US hasn't even been thoroughly examined, let alone changed and that is recognition of mental illness as a disability. We not only refuse to accept that our military people may suffer onsets of illnesses when they are stressed but we actually throw them back into the war(s). This is how we have avoided a draft, by using the mentally ill instead..
2. To # 1 you are not aware what goes on
Joel ,   Canada   (04.05.09)
As an IDF disabled soldier i say you are not aware what goes on in Israel with the rehabilitation dept. of the MOD. For 20 years i have been tormented, abused, neglected, used as a poster boy, i live without and in need, i have been refused rehabilitation, and i live in squaller in an old age home of the Jewish agency on a minimum wage pension and have no car. I am not even permitted orthopaedic shoes and i am at 44% recognised disability in my leg out of 100% not recognised. I wish i were an American disabled war veteran and not an Israeli war veteran. # 1 you know nothing about the medical evaluation board in the MOD, stay tuned to Israeli news soon there will be those that are going to make the news, maybe you will learn something.
