The only people supporting Iranian nuclear weapons are those who either live under it's imperial rule already, or those who want to subject themselves to it. Everybody else in both the free and not-so-free (aka Arab world) see Iran for what it is - a threat to regional and world peace. There were only 2 atomic weapons used in anger in history and that was just after they were invented almost 65 years ago. Despite the nuclear inventories in the world, none has been used in anger since WW2. Most people think the Iranians are liars and that Iran wants to use nuclear weapons in a first-strike capacity. The world, obviously, cannot afford a mistake. Iran has already showed its imperialist intentions with its attempts to takeover Lebanon, Gaza and Iraq. Iran has already showed it despises freedom by locking away thousands of political prisoners, many of whom are tortured to death or simply executed without trial. Iran shows it rejects a free press and bans the opposition from running in elections. There is no reason in the world to give Iran nuclear weapons - the country cannot be trusted not to use them offensively.
