2. Livni's UN resolution 1701 allows Hezbollah to be protected
Jason ,   sderot Israel   (04.11.09)
Hezbollah can smuggle arms to gaza because of Kadima and Livni. Because of 1701 and UNIFIL protecting them Israel doesn't have a deterrence. So Hezbollah can do whatever they want without the threat of Israel responding with ground forces or naval forces. Livni gave UNIFIL all the waters off lebanon. Livni devasted Israel's security.

siege is very stupid policy from my israeli friends and dumb egyptians. Hamas is there to stay.
4. nasrollah and lieberman
alexi   (04.11.09)
Nasrollah did show cool leadership in the lebanon war of 2006 while giving in to occasional hot rhetorical flashes which are effective in demoralizing some israelis. Its never ending, he has surprises, he will cut off heads, and the marches in his support are heavy with islamic warrior cult imagery. What have we had? Weak spineless begging of ehud olmert, supported by buffoon ramon and dumb zippora livni. Always weak, arabs laugh. Even occasional outbursts by barak are ineffective, because while he is a good tactical advisor on commandos, arabs know him to be an appeaser and do nothing minister. Interjections by ben eliezer and mofaz occasionally rattle iran. Now along comes Lieberman. We know he is tough in dealing with intensive police quesitonning, he doesn't back up a step while olmert stalls, excuses, wails in pain, runs to the phone or washroom and now gets some so called expert doctors who say he must go to the US right now for treatment. Like he couldn't get treatemnt in israel. Bullcrap. Anyways, Likberman is not someone you can intimidate. And he means what he says. He would take nasrollah to putin's outhouse and destroy him there. Arabs respect and fear such talk. I ask readers of haaretz and all peaceniks to check tehrantimes.com to find one word of hot rhetoric against israel since lieberman took over. Not one word of hot stuff will you find. They are scared of lieberman for good reason. So before you trash lieberman, consider that he has already done israel some good. And when the decision needs to be taken to smash iran, you know he will be cool and measured and say lets do it. Olmert and livni would be calling the US endlessly for permission to do it, the cowards and spineless weaklings that they are. Lieberman is good for israel. And since the high court has given olmert every conceivable break, they should give the same courtesy to lieberman. Israel and the US are now parting company in ultimate policy . Israel has to do some things for itself and the US is unwilling. Livni is absolutely incapable of opposing US in a decision for israel. Lieberman is actually helping Bibi, giving him some spine. the whole 2 state has to be rethought. A dysfunctional arab leadership has been around since oslo. Israel has to catch its breath.

6. Is he trying to smuggle arms to Gaza?
Daniel ,   Israel   (04.11.09)
Or he is transferring disasters to those poor people? Next time "Clean Gaza" operation will be entirely on Nasrulla's head.
7. Correction...
David ,   Amman   (04.11.09)
He said" the Hezbolah Member was arrested one month before the war on Gaza " not this week. also the egyptions said that he was arrested 1 month before the war on gazza.
8. The rhetorical tactic of Nasrallah.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (04.11.09)
Nasrallah has one rhetorical tactic that he deploys every time Hezbollah experiences internal pressure in Lebanon: he accuses his opponents of working for the CIA, the Mossad, the Jews, or the Americans. For Nasrallah “there is an American plan that we are fighting against. This is the nature of the crisis.” And: “This struggle is between an honorable resistance, which is endorsed by Arabs and Muslims, and the United States and its allies.” More about the “honorable resistance” at : http://xrl.us/oowhv

“A man who wants not only to ethnically cleanse the occupied territories but wants to ethnically cleanse Israeli citizens of Arab origin inside their state asking them to sign an oath that the country is a Jewish country. Can you imagine someone asking in the United States of America black people to sign an oath that the USA is a white country?” http://tehrantimes.com/Index_view.asp?code=191911

Egypt has never been a signatory of the Rafah Crossing Agreement. It was Israel, P.A. and EU who signed the agreement. Not objecting to the agreement, does not mean the Egypt endorses the agreement. So,the excuse of blocking humanitarian aid for more than two years at Rafah crossing has no basis. On the other-hand Egypt has been hindering the efforts in preventing genocide & delivery of humanitarian aid; against the "jus cogens" status which supersedes the international law. It's flagrant case of breaching the peremptory norms. The number of peremptory norms is considered limited but not exclusively catalogued. They are not listed or defined by any authoritative body, but arise out of case law and changing social and political attitudes. Generally included are prohibitions on waging aggressive war, crimes against humanity, war crimes, maritime piracy, genocide, apartheid, slavery, and torture. Israel war on Gaza is no less than a genocide against 1.5 million civilians. Had Egypt even signed the crossing agreement, it would still have been beaching the "jus cogens" law: "A treaty is void if, at the time of its conclusion, it conflicts with a peremptory norm of general international law. For the purposes of the present Convention, a peremptory norm of general international law is a norm accepted and recognized by the international community of states as a whole as a norm from which no derogation is permitted and which can be modified only by a subsequent norm of general international law having the same character." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peremptory_norm

Richard L. Whitford ,   Pitkin, La. USA   (04.12.09)
Nasrallah confirms reports of arms smuggling through Egypt. There were certain Isralis who settled in Gaza and built sophicated greenhouses for the produce market, a peaceful occupation. They were forced out of Gaza and the greenhouses trashed in favor of explosives and rockets, What prevents Hizbollah and the Palestinian from spending their capital on production instead of war? As long as they insist on war we cannot have peace. This only they can control. If I am to believe they want peace shou I not see signs of peace instead of signs of war? Richard

Alexi ! You may be right, the Iranians are afraid of Lieberman, lieberman is to Iran what sadam was to them ,unpredictable and dangerous,The Iranians were not afraid of Israel or the USA,but they were afraid of Sadam, they really believed that sadam has or is on the way to have nuclear, chemical, biological weapons and will not hesitate to use them against Iran,so the iranians managed to instill an iraki agent, named chalabi who told the Americans that the Iraki people will receive the american troops with flowers when they invade Irak,it worked,Iran's greatest enemy was removed from power.Lieberman may be the right medicine that Israel and the west needs against the ayatolahs.the ayatolahs enjoy the good life, and are not willing to risk it.
