talkbackers that said, things will never go back again.. I told you then, it was winter. Face it. Its money and only money that decides after all.
2. As if the Jews of Israel don't need the business and why
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.13.09)
send your money to another country?
3. # 2 Bunnie and why live in another country
Avi ,   Rannana   (04.13.09)
As a jew , we have longed to return to Israel for over 2000 years and yet you, choose to live in LA. Somehow i think you are the last person to be making such comments.
4. Jewish Money
Ronald ,   South Africa   (04.13.09)
These Muslims hate Jews, but love Jewish money, nice compromise from the people of so called Muslim morals.
5. No self-respect, no pride
Keren ,   Haifa   (04.13.09)
The servile, dhimmi mentality seared into the Jewish psyche by 2,000 years of subjection to the will and whim of others has not been overcome by 60 years of independence. The New Jew, proud and standing tall, turned out to be a myth. Perhaps it was too much to expect.
6. pleasure over principle, how sad

7. My talkbacks are usually right, important, read here;
JayZ ,   Jerusalem   (04.13.09)
During winter my talkbacks were generally right whereas many other ones have proved to be wrong. Now that spring is here (hag sameach to all my fans) ,face it, im the smartest talkbacker on here. And its about time I got the proper credit for that. Thanks.
8. Never an Israeli Boycott for Turkey-Just press' good wishes!
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (04.13.09)
How do you expect Israelis behave in corcerted way to boycott Turkey? It is just wishes of Press not real as for low number of visits to Turkey during cast lead atrocity, Israelis were afraid of muslim anger and therefore afraid of going muslim countries not only Turkey, certaintly Israelis are not able to visit most of muslim countries and therefore Turkey was at front. TURKEY SHOULD ARREST ANY ISRAELI TOOK PART IN IDF MASSACRE OPERATIONS including Tourists taking part in recent massacres -Innocent Israelis should enjoy Turkey but not zionist killers.

11. No need for boycott
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (04.13.09)
1. You never no why these Israelis go there. Perhaps they have friends, relatives etc. there. When Erdogan was elected, I thought of boycotting Turkey. But then I realized it was completely nonsense. A boycott doesn´t help the moderates. I try to support as much as possible secular Turks by buying goods made by secular enterprises. 2. After I had read Tayfun´s boycotting announcement I decided to buy Israeli and especially for Passover kosher made Hoummus, even I don´t like Hoummus. Just as a kind of support for Israel, because I felt ashamed of Tayfun. 3. Would never hesitate to visit Eretz Israel. Tell me when is the best time to come and I´ll be there.
12. nothing like Israeli principles!
shadoil ,   Israel   (04.13.09)
Let them kick you in the face, step on you, abuse you, but your going to give them your money anyway!? It's like rebuilding Poland on a smaller scale. Stupid ,stiff necked people!
13. Therer are Jews with no honor!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (04.13.09)
They should have traveled around Israel instead of going to the turkish enemy.

15. It's not only tourism that Israelis support but also...
(04.13.09)
Turkish enterprises which do large scale work in Israel, among them are building instruction projects such as luxury housing all over Israel, shopping centers like Azrieli, Israeli MoD and Air Force headquarters, most new luxuries apartments in Tel Aviv, and energy sector are also built and run by Turkish business groups. Enjoy your support to Turkish businesses dear Israelis.
16. Israelis should not travel to Turkey on certain days of the
Rivkah   (04.14.09)
year when it is prophesied a war in the Middle East will start. Av 9 is always a good day to stay home since both Jewish temples were destroyed on Av 9. That is a favorite day to attack Jews by enemies in the know. Nisan (Aviv) 24 is another day to not travel outside of Israel. That is the day Daniel in the Bible saw the Battle of Hidekel (Tigris) River begin. If you write down various dates visions were seen in the Bible, you may not know the year the event occurs; but you can be sure of the day. The first week of Tishri is a good time to stay home, too, until Yom Kippur is passed on the tenth.
17. Turkey
frank ,   israel   (04.14.09)
We are a simple people with no values except money. This is what has been drummed into our heads by our corrupt governments. Principal is not something we are big on here but rather where to get the better deal. But in all fairness, Eliat is wonderful but so expensive I can't afford it. Zimmering are nice too but I can't afford them. Not only are we unprincipal because we are lazy but we cheat and steal from ourselves...shame really but travel in israel is very expensive when times get hard they simply raise the prices and we are not going to stay home. We will go somewhere and turkey is cheap.....in all ways and they cannot be trusted as they will stab us immediately but then again which country won't. So it becomes a toss up, go to a country that doesn't like us, which is about everyone of them, or stay home? What the US is such a great friend?????

Thank you for your support and for your warm talkback. Spring and autumn are good times to visit Israel. It may get a little crowded around the holidays (Passover in spring and the HIgh Holidays in autumn - and I would avoid them, especially Yom Kippur, when everything shuts down). Tel-Aviv is gorgeous the year round, as is Haifa, and actually the entire Mediterranean coast. Eilat tends to get extremely hot in summer. Hope to see you soon. You come in peace, you will be welcomed with open arms. BE well and stay safe, my friend. p.s. And you really don;t need to buy anything you don;t like just to show your support. I'm sure there are lot of Israeli -made products that you can buy and enjoy - fruit, flowers, textile, cosmetics, etc.
20. Tayfun
israeli ,   israel   (04.14.09)
I would like your opinion on the occupation and annexation of Northern Cyprus, on the forceful expulsion of Greeks from those areas and their replacement with Turks. And when are you going to give back Alexandretta to the Syrians? How about human rights in your country? Also, what happened to the holy Christian sites in Constantinoples? Why is Smyrna called Izmir nowadays? When are you going to acknowledge the Armenian genocide and pay reparation? You think that by shouting abuse at Israel you can make your own crimes against humanity go away?
21. YNET getting paid by Turkish tourism office?
(04.14.09)
this is bull and u know it-40flights were canceled before pesah and 10,000ppl switched to greece destination-even if it was a bit more expensive. u guys r getting paid off for promoting turkish tourism-just like paid adverts we have on tv. Like always-yellow journalism and no research
22. boycott Erdogan
denzel ,   Vienna Austria   (04.14.09)
Dont boycott Turkey.Boycott its stupid president Erdogan.many turks dont even like him and his politics in turkey
23. To #20 Your baseless claims and mistakes.
(04.14.09)
I urge you to do research, learn and then form an opinion. If you confuse that order, none of your comments would be taken seriously. - On Cyprus issue, learn what EOKA and Makarios were doing to Turks in Cyprus. Search what EOKA, AKRITAS Plan and ENOSIS were. You can read 'Barbarism Against the Turkish Cypriots - The Other Side of the Coin' by a Greek Cypriot Antonis Angastiniotis for a start. Then you can understand the purpose of Turkish military action to protect the Turks who were being massacred by Greek Cypriots. - Turkey and Syria has absolutely no problem over Hatay/Alexandretta. You are only itching to create a problem on your own in vain. - All Christian sites in Istanbul are well protected and receive millions of worshippers and tourists every year. Clearly, you haven't seen Istanbul, but you formed an opinion on that. - Izmir is the Turkish pronunciation of Smryna, again you are itching to create problems in vain. - On Armenian issue, read qualified historians' works such as Guenter Lewy, Avigdor Levy, Stanford Shaw, Bernard Lewis, Norman Stone, Justin McCarthy, Gilles Weinstein who are proving that 1915 events were not genocide but events of war between armed Armenian units, Kurdish clans, armless Turkish locals and Ottoman Army who were fighting against British, French, Russian, Armenian, Greek and Italian occupier forces at the time. Also, after the war Ottomans already offered compensation and brought back several Armenians which were all documented in several archives. Once again, do research, read and then form an opinion.
24. To Israeli in Eretz Israel # 19
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (04.14.09)
You are welcome. I promiss you to visit your country at the end of September 2009. Perhaps via Turkey. My route will be: Tel Aviv - Jerusalem - Masada - Dead Sea - Haifa - Tel Aviv. Take care friend and shalom
25. #2 Bunny Man. Why Don't You Move And Spend Your Money ....
World Citizen ,   the world   (04.14.09)

26. #20
israeli ,   israel   (04.14.09)
well, if we are to judge Turkish actions in Cyprus according to what the Greeks were doing to the Turks prior to Turkish invasion and division of the tiny island, then what are the Jews supposed to do to the entire world because of what the entire world was doing to the Jews prior to the birth of the Jewish State. I come from the Balkans, I may not know exactly what did what to whom in Cyprus, but I know what the Turks did in Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, aso. Oh, and about the protection of the holy Christian sites, perhpas you might enlighten me as to how exactly Hagia Sophia began Hagia Sohpia and how exactly Byzantium became Istanbul. And mainly why. And then maybe I can take YOU seriously.

30. To #26 Once again, your mistakes...
(04.15.09)
Republic of Turkey could not watch and accept the Turks being massacred and ethnically cleansed by Greek Cypriots, your comparison is not right. Turkey was a guaranteer power in Cyprus together with Britain and Greece under UN rule. Britain too warned Greek Cypriots of partition of the island if Makarios and EOKA were to continue their actions. Therefore, Turkey's military operation was completely legal according to UN rules as a guaranteer power in Cyprus. We are talking about Turkey, right? If we talk about Turks and all Turkish states in history we must be talking about 16 Turkish states which were founded by Turks in past 2000 years. Speaking of Ottoman Empire and Balkans, in comparison with other empires the Ottoman Turks permitted all of its conqured peoples to speak their own languages and worship their own religions. After hundreds of years of Ottoman rule in Balkans and the Middle East, everyone still believes their own religion and speak their own languages, i.e. Serbs, Romanians, Bulgars, Greeks, Arabs. But if you compare it with French, Spanish and British empires you'd see that all their colonies were turned mainly Christian and spoke French, Spanish and English, i.e. Latin America, North America, Australia. Well, we can all see Ottomans did not attempt anything like other empires to destroy local people and cultures. They were made to pay taxes and live their religion and language freely. That is why after centuries of Ottoman rule, Serbs are still Sebs and Orthodox and still speak Serbian just like Arabs are still Arabs and still speak Arabic but not Turkish. About Hagia Sophia, again, your mistakes. Istanbul was conquered by Ottoman Empire in 1453, not by Republic of Turkey. In 15th century it was quite a normal thing to conquer countries as you may be aware of if you read at least a little bit of history. Even in 20th century Britain and France were still conquering other countries with colonial aims. Yes, Ottomans did conquer Istanbul in 15th century! So? They did turned Hagia Sophia into a mosque but certainly protected the Orthodox community. In fact by protecting Orthodox community against the Catholics, Ottoman Empire contributed to a formation of non-united Europe. Then with establishing Republic of Turkey, Ataturk turned Hagia Sophia into a museum and it is very well protected as a museum too. But if you want to criticise Ottomans for conquering in 15th century, you would have a long list of countries which conquered others in past centuries like Britain, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, USA, Japan, Russia... Now, if you skip all emperial history and single out only Turks, that's only a sign of prejudice and even maybe racism. Now, once again, isn't that obvious that you need to do research, learn, and form an opinion before making mistaken statements.
