1. YES, Jewish lobby can control Obama, no CHANGE
Janis ,   USA   (04.14.09)
US problems and blunders in mideast will continue unchanged as long as Jewish lobby controls Washington
2. I'm Glad
Christy ,   Boston, US   (04.14.09)
Glad that my president is doing the right thing by boycotting this farce of a conference. Re#1 - I have *NOT* been influenced by any Jewish Group. Anybody with a functioning brain cell can see what an obscenity Durban I was. We do NOT need a repeat.
3. Medal
Mark ,   London/UK   (04.14.09)
Why shouldn't Israel take part in that conference. The Jewish state is the symbol of equality of races and religions! ! Don't be ashamed Israel go for it, they may even give a medal for what you're doing to Palestinians and Arab Israelis.
4. #1
Jim ,   USA   (04.14.09)
Don't read much do you, the fact that this president wants to reduce the amount of pull the lobby'ers have, and you still blame the Jews. Take your racism somewhere else Janis!
5. # 1 you are an idiot
Bubba ,   Jarrell TX USA   (04.14.09)
Why don't you learn a little about history before spouting off. The Israelis have done little more than defend their selves against hatred and attack. These very same Palestinians calling for a 2 state solution rejected this in 1948 when it was offered by the UN and instead Israel was attacked by 5 Arab countries. Since then they have only responded to other attacks against a people who want no less than to wipe them off the face of the earth. Get a clue moron
6. 1 & 3 Mark and Janis
Ivri   (04.14.09)
A pair of blind clericks for the religion of hate and antisemitism. You too should marry eachother and then abuse eachother with your magnanimus ignoramus world view. Have fun.

jo moor   (04.14.09)
The 2 of you genii should go to Durban II conference. Maybe you would be up for your own medals and it would be a closely fought contest as to who would be awarded the AHD medal and who the ARD medal (ass hole deluxe and a real doos respectively). But note that "if it smells like it, then it is it" and Durban II smells +++

Mark writes, "Israel go for it, they may even give a medal for what you're doing to Palestinians and Arab Israelis." Oh, Mark, we know your kind only too well. Only an idiot walks into a room full of vipers. And only an idiot negotiates with those who want you dead.

Sean ,   Montreal, Quebec   (04.15.09)
While I can appreciate legitimate concerns for the inordinate influence of the Israeli lobby in American politics, I would have to disagree on this one. I think it is regretable that my country and -possibly yours- have not found a way to participate and steer this conference towards a less politically motivated and a less parochial discussion of intolerance. I just finished reading the lengthy declaration from the first Durban Conference. The anti Israeli rhetoric is not even thinly veiled. While the plight of the Palestinian should have a place in discussions it is obvious that such a biased conference would be in no position to objectively seeks workable solutions for their plight. Even if an Israeli delegation were present and willing to listen, it would require other delegations to listen to it. Oddly there is no direct mention of states which tolerate death to citizens who try to convert to other religions. A conference on racism and tolerance is supposed to combat hatred not encourage it. I have to agree with Isael on this one.
19. Why do african american groups want US to attend....
Bernard Ross ,   St anns bay, jamaica   (04.15.09)
....this anti semitic cnference. US blacks were polled at 35% anti semitic as opposed to 12% for US whites.
20. WAKE UP CALL: TEXAS GOVENOR BACKS RESOLUTION...
secede Texas & Okla ,   from socialist USA!   (04.15.09)
AFFIRMING TEXAS SOVEREIGNTY!!! Austin, TX - Gov. Rick Perry joined state Rep. Brandon Creighton and sponsors of House Concurrent Resolution (HRC) 50 in support of states' rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. "I believe our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state," Gov. Perry said. "That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states' rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution adn its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union." Perry continued: "Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, DC trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas." ARE YA LISTIN' MR. BARRY SOETORO ( aka Obama)? People are sick & tired of "big brother" poking his nose in where it doesn't belong! HAHAHA!
21. shame (and third world)
SG ,   LONDON, UK   (04.15.09)
It's a shame that Israel and America fail to address the issue by boycotting the event or even attending to make their case. Considering that the term third world is defunct and Cuba was not third world in the first place - two blaring facts which I would expect a journalist at the distinguished ynet to know - it can only be deduced that the term was used to denigrate mentioned nations in this article by ynet, a fundamentally Zionist outlet, and hence justifies the allegations that Israel's treatment of Palestinians is grounded in racism - a racism which permeates in large and influential sections at every level of Israeli society against those whom dare oppose or criticise its policies - as indicated by this very publication.
