African-American Jews gain acceptance     Associated Press
61. It does seem that Judaism is being confinde to the Ashkenazi
I have read so much on this list about the requirements for conversion. Many have been positive but many insist that these people must go through the process of converting to Judaism that is considered proper. There are various movements in Judaism. Although some Orthodox do not accept Jews that aren't Orthodox or so I've been told by an orthodox Jew it doesn't mean that there aren't other movements within Judaism actually exist are hold shuls. So when one say sa proper conversion are they saying one that is by ORthodox or the other forms of Judaism or how? Also, I understand that there are different cultural communitites in Israel that practice Judaism differently. Some white people and Africna American people have different ways of being culturally. Provided that these acts aren't against the scriptures then what is wrong with them expressing themselves in a way that is different. From my current studies of Judaism I notice there is quite a bit of German culture such as food and language used that have been made a part of current day Judaism. If there isn't supposed to be any other cultural expression of Judaism shouldn't it be limited to that that was practiced during biblical time?. There was no Yiddish during biblical times. Also,
