Very moving article. Whey you hear about people like Mehamid it gives you real hope. I also think that the Mayor of Naalin deserves a mention. It must have taken real courage to allow this exhibition to take place.

10. They did the first step, now is our turn...
Nahum Korda ,   EIn Ziwan, Israel   (04.21.09)
I must admit that after reading this item, I changed my mind about the wall issue. If they are prepared ti listen to us, we should start listening to them too. People who opened the Holocaust museum there are certainly not fanatics who understand only force.
11. Don't agree with # 3
Sam ,   ME   (04.21.09)
Vadhashem approval sounds authortative to me. No body owns the truth.
12. the reason there is no arabic books about holocaust
(04.21.09)
is two reasons... 1. the arabs want to deny the history of jews and their claim to israel as their ancestral home. arabs do not know what the holocaust is because their leaders forbid any free press and freedom of reading material published in the arab countries. they have mein kamf and the protocols of the elders of zion, both brutally anti semetic books as the number one publications and distribution in the arab territories and in all arab lands, also in iran. denying jews their history and their right is complicit in this no no of holocaust history in arab lands. 2. by denying the holocaust or not teaching to or exposing the arabs to this incredible tragedy, the arab leaders hope to erwadicate any claim the jews have to israel in general. or, on the other hand, to use the information to claim that they should not be the ones to suffer because the jews needed israel to escape to...you know...israel, as these people claim, is ttotal arab land... yes, sure!
13. #1 You are right
Raphael ,   Netanya   (04.21.09)
Let's stop talking about the holocaust. Instead, build a museum to the 1400 years long persecutions, humiliations, ghettos, tortures and atrocities against the Jews in arab countries, which ended as 1 million jewish refugees took shelter in Israel, thus erasing any legitimacy to the "right of return". Your arab brothers stabbed you in the back as they deported their jewish minorities to grab their properties.
14. knowledge of he holocaust in Arab circles
DR ,   ISrael Hebrib   (04.21.09)
The Holocaust was something that both Germany and the Arab world have hidden in the closet. Both groups participated in the final solution, the Germans more activly, and the Arab world by supplying an SS division. Now they would like to learn about the holocaust in order to promote peace? Maybe. Or maybe this is anoher act of posturing on their part to lull us into believing that they can become a real partner in peace. First let then stop saying that the Holocust didn't happen, and then let them accept their own responsibility in that terrible event...and then, maybe, we can find a way to discuss peace based on mutual respect. Mutual respect is more important than mutual fear.
15. #7 is incorrect about the meaning of commemorate
Daniel Korn ,   San Diego, CA   (04.21.09)
From dictionary.com commemorate: 1. to serve as a memorial or reminder of: The monument commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 2. to honor the memory of by some observance: to commemorate the dead by a moment of silence; to commemorate Bastille Day. 3. to make honorable mention of. As a native English speaking, you are incorrect in your understanding of the work commemorate. We would use commemorate to refer to a day like 9/11.
16. #1 What this museum can teach you...
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (04.21.09)
is the differences between a Genocide and an actual war, ruthless killing and what a state unfortunately has to do to protect her citizens, intolerance vs. what Israel does for other world refugees, and of course the need for the state of Israel(in the Jewish homeland that has irrefutable evidence as our native land).
17. holocaust museum in West Bank
yael ,   princeton, USA   (04.24.09)
I'm glad that the children of the Palestinians are finally allowed to learn about Jewish history and how the Jewish people returned to their land during and after WWII. I am not happy that Israel's tactics for self defense are being compared to women, children and old defenseless people being tortured, starved and killed in their own countries/homes. I don't approve of killing young children but deep inside believe the Palestinians are able to protect themselves from accidents like this if they overthrow the corrupt leadership that led them to the situation they are in 61 years later.
