1. A big mistake.

He should not go to the US if he can avoid it. I guess that the statute of limitations should make him immune but they want to get their hands on him to make an example. I guess the will nail him on using US communication lines for hacking and make it appear that it is for the pentagon breach. He should stay and be convicted in Canada.
2. This is a mallicious prosecution
ben ,   singapore   (05.03.09)
They want to put him behind to avoid future employment of this clever boy. Mossad should have employed him .

Markus   (05.03.09)
well, he broke the laws- several times- why should he be treated differently from any other hacker who makes life miserable for people, businesses etc.? He is supposed to be smart, he knew what he was doing, he did it to harm - so I don't know why this should make the news. he is a cheap crook.....
5. If you can't do the time DONT DO THE CRIME!
(05.03.09)
Stealing from companies and other individuals is a crime...there ain't nothing virtual about it! Here we have another case of "the wonder has vanished, the child remains!" Too sad!

American prison which are vicious places. So many prisoners were murdered by guards hired as hitmen in California, that the federal government had to take over the California prisons to protect the prisoners from the guards. There are lots of programs that can be purchased on how to make self defense weapons from plastic cutlery to keep in one's shoes. There is a real good one by an American Indian on where to hit an attacker to disable him immediately and make sure he steers clear of you afterwards.
7. #4 Markus... Haven't you realized
Terry ,   Chicago, IL   (05.03.09)
by now that anyone Jewish or Israeli is immune to these accusations? They can do no wrong- at least, not in the eyes of the Israeli people and media. Blekh... disgusting.

Most if not all Israeli and American Jews do not feel that we are immune. Your words are only those of one looking to stir anti-semitism. Bottom line--you break the law, be prepared for jail time and if jail is tough and viciious that it really too baaaad!! Dont' break the law and you won't have to deal with it.

One does NOT hack to steal money a week after they've been caught hacking NASA and the pentagon. Unchecked bed-wetter probably.

You won't believe the hoops they're going to have you jumping through, son.
14. Isn't Canada a sovereign, independent country?
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (05.03.09)
I fail to understand, the great ease in which Canada extradites someone to the US, even though he was arrested for alleged crimes he committed while in Canada, against Canadians? Isn't Canada a proud, sovereign, independent country, that can try its own offenders? Furthermore, let's look at a different example now. Many former Nazi war-criminals, were tried in Europe and got ridiculous sentences, or acquitted altogether. Not one European country ever thought of extraditing these criminals for a trial in Israel - even though their victims were mostly Jews. Am I the only one seeing the great irony here?
