politicians should do what they are paid to do: do politics- not get involved in religious discussions-ion fact religious people should NOT BE IN POLITICS, period .
as for the TB: the pope has been accused of just about everything- no proof, hearsay, rumors.
who has PROOF that he is (was) a Nazi? He was 14 years old for crying out loud- look at your 14 year olds? Would they stand up to a political party, and die for disagreeing? NOT, I think.
Not every German was, or still is a Nazi- this is one of the stupidest arguments if there is one.
re reinstatement of Williamson- he was reinstated with his fellow brothers for other matters- NOT because he is an anti-semite- that happened afterwards and he is now persona non grata- so stop bringing this up at every turn- it has been discussed to death.
The pope is on a visit- this is not a crusade.
re prayer for Jews: it does not say the Jews are blamed for the death of Jesus- where do you guys find all that stuff? Maybe years and years ago, but why bring it up still?
Do I blame the Romans, todays Italy, for killing Christians 2000 years ago? The French for Napoleon invading Switzerland, Spain, etc?
Many Christians have written in TBs about this- but of course it is not glamorous to hear the truth- hate mongering and lies are always more exciting.
If this politician wants to really represent anybody and be respected, he should at least get the facts straight- otherwise- shut up.

all I read is HATE:
the Pope, the Christians, -
and I just bet most of the TB writers are much too young to remember anything in history, ancient nor recent... - except what you read on other TBs- disrespectful, intolerant-.
repeating what others have said- no original thought at all..... no proof... letting of steam-
hope you all feel better now, LOL

mr. Ben-Ari is a misinformed ignorant person- his statements are false and libel.
As a politician is is abusing his position to spread hatred and wrong information- if a European politician did this, he would be sued, prosecuted and thrown in jail or fined, he would be suspended, his paycheque stopped- thrown out of the party-
