3. Beware
(05.06.09)
In biblical times, cities were leveled because of this kind of widespread practice. It's one thing to tolerate - it's another to promote! Beware Tel-Aviv.
4. stop judging. this is great news!
rpc ,   modiin, israel   (05.06.09)
If ElAl has to cowtow to the religious sector's demands, it should at least be able to figure out ways of compensating for lost income. The gay community knows how to party and I'm sure that foreign visitors who come to Israel with ElAl during Pride Month will leave with a positive view of our country. ElAl is doing the right thing economically and socially. kudos. if only the rest of the country would catch on and loosen up...
5. great!
ilan ,   ta   (05.06.09)
What great news. Anyone who says anything different is just an idiot. Whether El Al endorses this or not doesn't matter, nearly all the flight attendants are gay anyway. try boycotting that! :)
6. to beware
Israeli   (05.06.09)
It is amazing how god appears when he has to punish the gays but is completely absent when children are killed and other horrible things happen. What kind of god is that?
7. Yay for gay!

steward and the pasenger r up to, as long as it won't be in the cockpit, cause other wise there will be disturbances in the flight, they can use the suitcases space in the rear. :P
9. apparently... :-)

10. Great! Let El Al bring us....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (05.06.09)
responsible, law abiding tourists with disposable incomes. Tel Aviv is a great vacation for all - gay and straight. Hotels, car rentals, restaurants, clubs, baby sitters (for the many gay people with children). This is a very good idea. Plus, it shows that not everybody in Israel is a bigotted religious fanatic who thigs God and the land of Israel is only for them.
11. I'm Happy For Them

It's really nice to see ELAL accomodate everyone :)

Gee whiz, aren't you afraid the thought police will begin to attack you because you didn't accede to their oh so religious demands?? We note with "pride" the actions of the herediim, "modesty patrol", demands for segregated buses, segregated EL AL flights, the ultra religious throwing rocks and epithets at passing cars on Shabbat; not to mention setting fires in trash cans. The ethics of Judaism has been all but erased by the "religious " sects. Then of course let's not forget about the Naturei Karta, the "true" religious who damn Israel while kissing the feet of the Iranian president who calls for the destruction of Israel.
13. israel has become an ugly hardup old hag

15. #4 Great news? When the Raelians had their "Orgy for Peace"
(05.06.09)
in Tel Aviv we read right here on Ynet about a dramatic increase in HIV in Tel Aviv only 2 mo's after -- most all of those diagnosed being able to trace back unprotected sex with a common person/people (gee, think it was at the orgy??? Coincidence -- I think not!). You say that "The gay community knows how to party and I'm sure that foreign visitors who come to Israel with ElAl during Pride Month will leave with a positive view of our country." Yeah -- an HIV POSITIVE view of our country! Who wants Israel to be yet another city added to the list of world centers for hedonism??? This is supposed to be the HOLY land, not the holey land! Go to San Francisco for that kind of crap.
16. disgusting
eliezer ,   jerusalem   (05.06.09)
I will make certain to favor other airlines if El-Al continues with this disgusting campaign. Leave this people outside of our decent country!
17. What other airlines are there????
chaya ,   bat Yam   (05.06.09)
El Al will start losing customers because of this!! Bring back Tower Airlines!!
18. Welcome! Boys & Girls with the pretty flag have a good time!
Hetero Granny   (05.06.09)
Welcome to Israel and have a good time while you are here!
19. you're missing the point
oferdesade ,   israel   (05.06.09)
what this means is that the $330 weekend in tel aviv is POSSIBLE! and what's been driving our tourism industry into the ground is greed (take high prices, then demand the gvmt bail you out when there arent enuf suckers) from this moment on: no bailout money for tourism. let'em lower their prices to the level of other "attractive" destinations. who knows - maybe israelis will ALSO find it feasible to vacation in israel
20. no credibility
Marcel Pfister ,   Uvita, Puntarenas   (05.07.09)
Rabbi Naftali Lobert's diatribe reminds me of the garbage we get served from the Roman Catholic Church or Protestant neo-fundamentalist congregations. The Israel I know and like is a secular country. My Israeli friends do NOT want - under any circumstances - be ruled by a bunch of religious zealots like Lobert. The man even goes as far as expecting El Al not to fly in Shabbat. This is like the Taliban trying to impose Sharia onto the countries where they are. All the religious zealots back to the temple!

Maybe it will take El Al out of the red the herediim demands are putting it in. Hey, maybe El Al can arrange to have the females fly only with the herediim males. That would make a great shiddich. They wouldn't even look at each other, never mind touch accidently. Tower shafted many of it's last passengers, closed down with no return flights which had been paid for.
23. If the Israeli women on the beach...

won't make the gay males reconsider their orientation, then it really must be uncurable.
24. Homophobia
purplehelen ,   London, UK   (05.09.09)
Ynet seems to be provocative in it's articles - many seem written to provoke homophobia and anti-haredim sentiment. It seems to know how to push your buttons. As a non-Jew (yet I studied Hebrew at Uni and lived in Israel for 2 years) I have no place to comment on haredim, so I don't. However, I have many gay friends and find the level of vitriol against gay men on this site really disturbing (notice gay women i.e. lesbians, are never an issue). It's also really unrepresetative of all the Israeli and Jewish people I know who are really tolerant. Shame on Ynet for allowing such hatred. Gay people are not a threat. And if they boost your economy, why not.? I hate the Bitish monarchy but recognise the money they bring in (thought the taxes we pay tfor them may offset this). Anyway, my message is, try a little tolerance. And Pride is lots of fun, even for the straight person. It's like Mardi Gras or the Notting Hill Carnival. Try ir, you might enjoy it.
25. I flight not to forget
Moshe ,   Jerusalem   (05.10.09)
Any possibility I can get a free round trip ticket
26. EL AL service
Nadav ,   Cohen   (11.04.09)
we waited 2 hours at the airport for the luggage that hasn't arrived the service was awful - no one to ask and rude service desk. after filling in a form I had to call every day to try and get more info, 3 times they promised to call me back but never did. they also made a mistake when they processed the form and planned on sending it to Jerusalem instead of Netivot. spending half vacation without the luggage, I've lost gifts for 3 birthdays and bought clothes and other stuff for my wife, our baby and myself. no one has offered any compensation. now i might have to pay for over weight..
