1. Who will Israel negotiate with for this peace?
Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (05.11.09)
Should Israel negotiate with the Arab League in order to make peace since there is no real government or mandate within the Palestinian people? Can Jordan force Hamas to abide by a peace deal? Israel is not the only part of the problem here.
2. Who Died And Named Him King?
Captain America ,   Anywhere, USA   (05.11.09)
Looks like Obama plans to sell out the Israelis. No surprise just disappointment. To hear the King, it means give away your country in the name of peace to those who will not stop until all Israelis are ran into the sea.
3. he is wrong the war already started,
ghostq   (05.11.09)
during olmert time, he never thought on the Israely stance that after withdraw Israel got rockets, implementing any other addition withdraw would be out of the quetion, unless he sees gaza and the west bank as two different antities.
4. Little dwarf promises war...????
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (05.11.09)

Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (05.11.09)

6. He is right
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.11.09)
Whether there is a "peace deal" or not, the Arabs will launch a war against Israel. The only question is whether the Israeli civilian population will be safely sheltered in the hills of Judea and Samaria or will be massacred in the low areas.
7. yeah, good idea: make peace with people who threaten war!

11. Thanks! But No!
Jewish Refugee   (05.11.09)
I got to tell you that this offer sounds very promising to those who do not know anything about the Middle Eastern Bazar Diplomacy! But thanks God we know who you really are. Israel already made peace with Arabs and Muslims. On the contrary Arabs and Muslims are waging war against Israel and Jews. So ball is in your court drop the creation of second Palestinian State 56th Muslim State at the expense of only One Jewish State and Peace Would be established until then wars will be brewing. Wars are plunged upon Israel we do not initiate wars. http://israelactnow.blogspot.com/
12. If Jordan wants war, they should remember the last few wars.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.11.09)
13. King is wrong on two counts, no big surprise
JPS ,   Efrat   (05.11.09)
Just like his father before him who made strategic mistakes as a young king, the son is also slipping up early on. 1) "...his is just another American government that is going to let us all down." " Nobody let's themselves down more than Arab governments. Almost all self-appointed dictators, the Arabs are still having trouble breaking into the 20th century...and it's already the 21st. 2) "...the world is going to be sucked into another conflict in the Middle East" No they're not. The only suckers for a Mid-East conflict are the participants themselves. The world will sit back and sell them lots of arms to do it, and continue to buy their oil. The biggest problem, of course, is the one that every leader is ignoring and avoiding, not just Abdullah: the Palestinians voted in Hamas, and Hamas does NOT want a two-state solution, nor peace with Israel. So Abdullah takes the easy way out by blaming Israel, instead of dealing with the real issue.
14. Abdulah's father killed thousands of palis
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (05.11.09)
So there you have it.
15. Give us more land or we'll attack AGAIN

17. THE WAR IS COMMING SONER RATHER THAN LATER !!!.
ORAO STRANKA. ,   TSARIGRAD U SRBIA.   (05.11.09)
AND JORDANIA ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF JEHOVAH WILL SPLIT IN THREE NATIONS. GO TO HELL YOU AND YOUR ARABIC NATIONS !!!. Orao.
18. GET OFF YOUR THRONE
steve ,   tel aviv, Israel   (05.11.09)
Abdullah, like the rest of the Arab world, ought to stop blaming the US for the Mideast conflict and the Muslim world's inability to progress. Instead of constantly crying and fanning the flames, how about doing some of the hard work for once?
19. the princeling has masculinity issues
(05.11.09)
Why does he always appear in public with his hot wife? Why does he engage in risky sports like skydiving and car-racing? He wants to be a macho man. Basically he is a big bluffer, trying to look tougher than he is.
20. War is better then a false peace!
Jordan is "Palestin"   (05.11.09)
21. we are sick and tired of having to give all
Michael   (05.11.09)
the ideas and get the missles in return. If the arabs really want peace where are your ideas? Where have you implemented anything you have signed? If the arabs really desired peace you don't threaten with war. (That is extortion. )Why?! because if your commited to peace one realizes peace has benefits for both. However, if this is a continuation of Arafat's phase plan to destroy Israel than at a point you get impatient when your objective isn't being accomplished so one adopts the quick way and threatens war.
22. Hear that Abdullah!
Neshama ,   Abroad   (05.11.09)
Lets agree that we will keep the lands we re-gained in 1967. In exchange we will give up the risk of flying over the awaiting, anti-semitic lynching mobs in Arab countries and/or contributing to their economies by visiting them.
23. His Majesty is no position to threaten Israel!
israeli ,   israel   (05.11.09)
24. War
Kringe   (05.11.09)
If the Arabs laid down there arms there would be peace in the Middle East. If the Israelis laid down there arms they would be annihilated by the Arabs. SO AGAIN WHO WANTS PEACE ?
25. An everlasting Dilemma
cas reader   (05.11.09)
King's Abdullah's statement is not merely a warmongering one. One does not need to be a genius to know that there will be a war with disastrous consequences for the entire Middle East if not the World if there is no progress at all in the 2-state proposal. Of course, it is easy to say for Israel " let's bring it on " but there are many factors to be considered. A Middle.East war will bring down the world economy. Secondly, and perhaps most important, is Israel ready and able to protect all of its citizens. A full-scale war with Arab states will cost the lives of tens of thousands of Israeli citizens. Is Israel prepared to take on this responsibility? I think that Israel will not take any chances and proceed with the 2-state proposal.
26. He's threatening us
Russel   (05.11.09)
27. Stop the incitement, stop the threats
Nancy O. ,   Florida, US   (05.11.09)
Arabs should be satisfied with what they have.
28. Spoiled little dictator.Wants his way now or else!
Sam ,   Canada   (05.11.09)
Peace is not just a matter of submitting to Arab and Muslim dictators. These dictators can't just snap their fingers at Jews as they do with their own people. Peace is a matter of acceptable solutions not threats from dictators or Obama advisers.
29. No need to prop up corrupt regimes with our dead bodies
Ilan ,   Ariel   (05.11.09)
How credible is someone who won't address the 'why' behind his prediction? If the corrupt oil regimes and poorer semi-totalitarian states like Jordan are really so scared of a nuclear Iran or of the consequences of trying to stop a nuclear Iran they don't need Israel to act. What they want is to pay for quiet with Israel being the only state to pay the cost, in this case by establishing a Hamas state 20 minutes from 90% of our population. Thanks but no thanks. We aren't going to lay down our lives so that you can have another couple of years to skim the wealth off from your peoples. I doubt it would in any case, but still find another sucker.
30. Nasty talkbacks
Tomer ,   Hod Hasharon   (05.11.09)
It's a good job the country isn't run according to the dictates of the talkbacks on Ynet. Abdullah is probably one of our sanest neighbours. He's intelligent and a realist. If he believes there is a risk of another conflagration, there is a fair chance that he's right. Perhaps we should listen to the leader of one of the few Arab countries with who we have normal-ish relations, rather than just abusing him?
