Since they were thrown out of their Saudi Hashmai home guarding the "holy places"- and given the trans-jordan emirate by the UK- Abdulla and his family had always shown an amazing amount of ambition and oasistic illusions of power- his and his ancestors opinions are not very much respected or supported in the Arab world

JORDAN - the last thing they want is to join any sort of coalition in a war against Israel. EGYPT - Mubarak has enough domestic problems and doesn't need extra ones by starting a war with Israel GULF STATES - they have been smart enough to stay out of all Israels wars since 1948 and there is no reason for them to start a war now. SYRIA - Assad wishes he could go to war but he knows he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning and if he goes to war and looses leaving Syria humiliated it might just lead to him being overtrhown or assasinated. IRAN - they don't want to get into an arab / Israel war directly if they can avoid it. Its not good for their image they are trying to give to the west of only wanting weapons for self defense The fact they have no land borders to send ground troops and their jets have to travel so far they won't have the fuel to get into any dogfignts. HIZBULLAH - maybe depending on their own political situation in Lebanon but if Israel instead of sending troops into Lebanon drops a few bombs on Damascus and tell Assad call them off or we will flatten Damascus that will change things. HAMAS - maybe they will step up the intefada maybe they won't they don't work to other peoples timetables. They could step up the intefada today or in 18 months but they will do what they want to do when they want we don't have 18 months before they try anything. Threats of war in 18 months are just big words coming from a little man who doesn't want to fight a war and probably would look for an excuse ti stay out the fight anyway.

What a big talk from this small man. Is he trying to frighten Israel-the Super Power in the Middle East into submission? He must be dreaming. Does he think waging war against Israel will make the Arab Islamist-Jihadist aggressors in the region win? If Abdullah were smart he should be supporting and thanking Israel for without Israel, his kingdom would have long gone to the wolves. Perhaps his knowledge of history is shallow. But his uncles should have educated him about Israel's role in preventing Jordan from falling into Arafat's terrorists in the early 1970s. And without Israel in the region, the Arab states will fall like a house of cards or dominos under the Ayatollahs' domination. Already Lebanon-Hezbollahtan, Hamastan, Syria, Sudan, Iraq have become Iran's tentacles. Once Iran gets its nukes the house of cards in the region will fall faster.

King Abdullah left out 2 important players,Iran -Hamas, who are not interested in a 2 state solution,but the destruction of Israel and the creation of a palestinian state which will include also Jordan.The preasure has to be directed not against Israel, but against Iran-Hamas.
