1. There was no Jesus
Ken Besig ,   Israel   (05.15.09)
There is absolutely no historical, objective, or concrete evidence of any kind that Jesus, as the founder of Christianity ever even existed. Even the Gospels which supposedly outline his life and acts contradict one another, and all of them were written no less than 150 years after Jesus supposedly died. Indeed the fellows who wrote the Gospels pretty much had to make them up, since the supposed followers of Jesus, the Apostles, had all died a century earlier and couldn't possibly have provided even an oral account of Jesus' life. The Gospel accounts of Jesus may well be an amalgam of various itinerant Jewish preachers who roamed Galilee and spread a message of love and peace, but as regards a Jesus, the son of god, there is no evidence to show any such person ever existed. And as far as baptism is concerned, since there is no Original Sin in Judaism, and even this mythical Jesus was supposed to be a Jew, baptism is only supposed to wash away the Original Sin, there is no such thing in Judaism.

3. I think there was a Jesus......
Fake Jew ,   US   (05.15.09)
and he was baptised for repentance of sin in the river. He was part of one of the several baptismal sects, who believed in Mikvah as a form of self sacrifice and cleansing from transgression.

5. to # 1 Ken: If Jesus has never existed
Objective reader   (05.16.09)
why is he mentioned several times (in very chocking way) in the Babylonian Talmud, considering the time when the Talmud was written by the choosen and enlighten Rabbies?
6. # 1 All religions
Sagi ,   Israel   (05.16.09)
in all their aspects and manifestations are a figment of Man's colorful imagination. Man invented God and not vice versa. I have pondered all my life as to why Man had, and still has, the need for such an invention, especially as has been proven time and again that not only is it useless but it is detrimental to society in general and is without doubt the biggest troublemaker ever in the history of Mankind.

Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (05.17.09)
The deserted church is still standing... you can see the jordan side of the border and a lot of fenced areas with signs warning of land mines. Hopefully one day we christians will be allowed to use our property, welcome pilgrims and hold masses on regural basis.

10. to #6 All Religions
Cohen ,   Australia   (05.17.09)
Thank You Sagi for your courage to speak up. Now it's more obvious than ever that religions are more and more damaging to the fabric of the societies.
11. Yeshua
Angela ,   Texas, USA   (05.18.09)
Yeshua was and is very real, and He was Jewish. He came to fulfill the Law and to reconcile all to Himself. Just like in Abraham's case, the LORD Himself provided the sacrifice because we were not able to reconcile ourselves to Him. How I pray that all Jews will come to know their Messiah, Yeshua! Many blessings to you.
12. #4 - You meant "you're" not "your" LOL! Who's the moron?

13. That's not what Christian's believe
Tom ,   Mission Viejo, USA   (05.18.09)
Christians don't believe that Jesus' "spiritual birth" took place at his baptism. To that's a belief of some early cults like Arianism.
