1. Less revolution, the better
Ruth ,   New York   (05.16.09)
obama wants transform US into gov't capitalism, as Mao wrote 40 years ago. As to tribunals - he will have them. Bibi needs no change. Build Israel. Build more in Judea and Samaria - more, more. Wait till Abbas is gone (very soon).
2. Comparisons? Apples and "Road apples"
Gideon Reader   (05.16.09)
The title of this article poses an interesting question regarding Bibi's agenda; comparing PM Netanyahu to Zero Obama'. Possibly, just possibly Bibi is working at the survival factor of the nation and it's Jews, rather than a full court press chock full of "agenda" BEE ESS, which has not a chance of an ice cube's (NOT the pee poor actor/alleged singer) survival in Saudi Arabia. Zero Obama has bitten off a mighty chaw of converting a free market and free people of an individualistic bent, into a national socialist B-I-G government, mostly against the will of the population(as very recent polls indicate). So the laurels go to Bibi for proceding slowly and with carful method toweards his primary directive as Capt. Kirk would say; letting Israel survive despite the best efforts of the suicidal left of every country on this nasty ball or wax we call Earth.
3. Just An Empty Suit

4.  Change turn around
Don ,   US   (05.16.09)
Bibi's change regarding the budget is trivial compared to Obama's closing Guantanamo.... and announcement yesterday he is going to hold trials there; his statement Jerusalem will remain undivided - now his envoys demand partition. Bibi has the survival of the state and its people and meets Obama in a few days. as he holds his cars close before showing his hand
5. Change is not always for the better. I would suggest a

review of laws to see which should be repealed instead of putting more burdens on the public.
6. Bibi is a seasoned politician and Obama is a rookie.
redbourn ,   tel aviv   (05.16.09)
That is the answer to Hagai Segal's naive questioning. Livni made the same mistake as Obama and twice failed to form coalitions. Obama is now backing off on almost every campaign promise he made, and is expected to fall quickly in popularity in the next few months. No experienced negotiator reveals all his cards, and no journalist worth his salt would expect him to. Mike
7. bibi versus obama and change
moron ,   galut   (05.16.09)
obama has veto proof majorities and israel has factions...also bibi is still fighting terror and free lunches whie obama is less inclined to do so
8. Who cares of revolutions?
Frank ,   Canada   (05.16.09)
Obama is a loser who will destroy the American economy and all foreign policies of his country. He is just a demagogist who claimed that he will close Gitmo but changed his mind when he realized that this is not an option. Empty changes and slogans are not serious policies and will destroy the US. Israel must not copy this clown and must continue to implement realistic and pragmatic policies based on realities and not on wishful thinking.
9. Best revolution for Israel would be...
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (05.17.09)
....fixing it's domestic problems. A) Unite religious and secular, put an end to their animosity. Let in messianic Jews and other Jews tthat the orthodox have rejected. B) Unemployment and economy C) Israeli traitors that enjoy spectacular benefits yet do not join the army and/or help bomb plots D) Education infastructure building. E) Anyhting that will make the roads in Israel safer F) Make government more efficient, less costly G) Strengthen science fields and relations with countries needing such scientific developments H) let in refugees that acknowledge Israel sovereignty and Jewishness I) Keep teaching Africans english in that amazing program/export drip irrigation to starving countries. J) Actually implement a constitution for "official" Israel, NOT disputed territories. K) strengthen equality and relations between all minorities and Jewish Israelis
10. Bibi's Agenda is maintaining the status quo
Aharon   (05.17.09)
That's exactly why he was voted in by the right. They wanted him to maintain the status quo in the territories, and that's exactly what he's going to do -- there and everywhere else.
11. I do not have a clue regarding Israeli politics and
leo ,   USA   (05.17.09)
I would not presume to tell Nataniahu what he should do but there is simple formula I am using. If Bibi is not doing Israel the way Obama is doing US then Bibi is doing something right.
12. In 60 years no U.S president could stop any Israeli P.M
e.m Jordan is Palse ,   s.f   (05.17.09)
They were many U.S President whom have been much smatter than inexperience President Obama and fortunately non of them could change the minds of Israeli P.M, Bibi will do what ever is the best for the State of Israel.
13. 2 STATE ILLUSION
Yohanan Levi   (05.17.09)
Is the laundered term "2 state solution" saying blantly one more Arab state in the heart of tiny Israel a solution? OR An illusion to rush the distruction of Israel. No wonder this is the only issue that ALL Arab countries agree all heartedly.
14. obumma is the biggest flip flopper president in US
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.17.09)
history. He was going to have "real" trials for the terrorists at Guantanamo but now he is going back to Bush's military tribunals with small modifications. He was going to "stimulate" the economy and now GM (Government Motors) and Chrysler are closing dealerships that will put 100,000 people out of work. He was going to have such an honest government but half of his appointees had to pass on or give up the job because they had cheated on their taxes or hired illegal aliens. He was going to expose all the torture pictures but now says he won't do that. He was going to stop the elimination of gays in the military who were being prosecuted under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" but he hasn't stopped one single prosecution. obumma is a snake oil salesman who sold CHANGE to a bunch of unsuspecting believers. He will try to sell Bibi a two state solution that would destroy Israel. Bibi just has to tell him that he will go home and confer and get back to him.
15. What's Bibi's Agenda is a good question, but isn't it a bit
Marcella   (05.17.09)
late for this question? In normal countries a candidate would outline his agenda while running for office. That means BEFORE being elected, not after..... However, Bibi refused to specify what he was up to and rode on an undeserved reputation for being right wing (what gave you that idea?), while his actions kept giving broad hints of exactly the opposite. Take for example the way he treated Moshe Feiglin, demoting him from his well-earned place on the candidates' list just because he didn't like his face, or something. A teacher would have written "Doesn't play well with others" on his report card. And then it was the leftist associates he courted so assiduously, it was truly embarrassing. Even up to the very last he just did not want to let go of Livni. And then he picked Mr Barak, who had been all but rejected by the voters. A consolation prize for his leftist little heart. All in the face of voters' wishes, a majority of whom had voted for central-right or right wing candidates. "Has difficulty assessing values and relating to new circumstances" would have been the next comment by his teacher. But the worst sign of unpreparedness - and Bibi is by no means the only PM to blame for this - is that he does not have an alternative to the Two State Solution. TAKE IT OR ELSE!!!! Shout the British, the Americans, the Europeans, the Arabs, the Russians, the Turks, the Spaniards, the French, the pope, and the governments of St Marino, Marshall Islands, Tuvalu, Nauru, Seychelles, Grenada, and everybody who is is involved in the Israeli-Arab conflict. That's about 194 countries, without counting the different factions within governments, the media, the human rights groups, the Meddlers Sans Frontiers, and on and on... The latest estimate must be around 3,205,183 interest groups involved with the Two State Solution. And still growing... Everyone knows what's good for Israel. Except Israel. There are a few very good proposals for a solution to the problem, but they are kept very quiet. Nobody wants to make waves, lest someone might actually say: "But take a look at that! This makes perfect sense! Why don't we give this a try?" Nope. That would be too rational for any Israeli PM to do. They'd rather march obediently to see their masters, be shown in through the service entrance, be bullied, yelled at, threatened, humiliated... And the best they can do, if they are brave enough, is to ask for a little time, please, to build the infrastructure for the darling Arabs, so that they will be successful, prosperous, democratic, happy and peaceful, as we all hope they will be.... So, where's Mr Netanyahu's Peace Plan????????
