1. It is time Bibi issued and stuck to a few Prerequisites.
racchel ,   chutz4now, home soon   (05.17.09)
We have bent TOO far for TOO long and have got NOTHING to show for it but the world condemning us. We want to be like everyone else? Too bad...we are NOT like other countries. We MUST look out for ourselves. NO MORE GIVING IN TO ARAVIM who happily want our death.
2. sure, like the setlers r going to listen.

Mr. Moussa, I agree that settlements need to be trimmed down, but I do not think that you can move out 400,000 settlers, it will be impossible, we will need to come to an agreement with the Palestinians for an exchange of territory. The big problem to be resolved is the issue of the Right Of Return, and here lies the core of the Israeli-Palestinian disagreement , no Government in Israel will agree to this, not from the right wing, not from the center wing and neither will the left wing agree to commit suicide, even MERETZ will not agree to rigth of return !!. therefore the only way to proceed with peace negotiations is for Palestinians to renounce the right of return, for Israelies to remove as many settlement as possible , otherwise Mr. Moussa, IT WILL NOT WORK !!!. The Palestinians have unfortunately missed many opportunities to have their own country, 1947 partition plan, 1967 Khartoun conference ( no peace,no negotiations,no recognition), it is always no, no, no. Will Hamas sign a peace agreement with Israel for ever ?, not for 10 years !!! , what kind of a peace is that?, their charter calls for the destruction of Israel and for war on all JEWS ( not only Israel!!), Israel went out of Gaza and instead of making Gaza into the Hong Kong of the middle east ( with investment by the Arab Billionaries) and bringing millions of tourists and opening factories to giving jobs to these poor people, Hamas took over and the only factories there are making Kassam rockets!!, and the only "tourists" are Iranian and Hizbolla agents. By the way Mr. Moussa, stop complainign about the closure of Gaza, your country :Egypt, has also closed the border with Gaza and does not allow for almost any merchandise to cross legally into Gaza. Why is that ???? did you speak to Mr. Mubarak about this ????
4. Never A Settlement
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (05.17.09)
We will never achieve a settlement with the Arabs unless they come down from their demand that we "halt settlement". The Land of Israel must remain open, even after any agreement is made with the local Arabs, that Jews can freely buy land and live anywhere they wish in the Land of israel. It is totally unacceptable for the Arabs to dictate to the Jews that we cannot live, build, develop and populate our homeland. It must be made perfectly clear that Jews will no longer accept being crammed into the small, old borders of the State of Israel. We have every right to settle and expand here, wherever we wish. The Arabs must willingly accept a permanent Jewish presence anywhere and everywhere on the West Bank of the Jordan River.

DAVID ,   HERZLIA,ISRAEL   (05.17.09)
I forgot to ask you a question Mr. Moussa, from 1948 to 1967 ( about 20 years) ALL OF GAZA ( in the hands of Egypt|) and ALL THE WEST BANK INCLUDING EAST JERUSALEM (in the hands of Jordan) , ( i.e. Arab brothers of the Palestinians), can you please let me know why the ARAB LEAGUE did not force Jordan and Egypt to establish an independent Palestinian country and sign a peace agreement with Israel. There were no settlers then !!!!, so it is not about settlers is it? right?, it is the fact that the Arabs do not want a Jewish country.!! right... Mr Moussa?.
6. "Settlement Halt"
NYC Girl   (05.17.09)
Amr Moussa is the biggest goddamn gas bag in the Arab world. When is he going to address the need for a halt to terrorism and rocket attacks by groups like Hamas... which is the real reason why there will never be peace?
7. Israel
frank ,   israel   (05.17.09)
settlements, not the bombs, not the terrorism, not anything else, but settlements are causing the whole world these problems. Settlements in gaza (oh, not in gaza?), settlements where exactly? Oh right, in Israeal. Our "peace" partners, US, EU arabs are referring to the settlements in Tel Aviv.....But as long as obama has jimmy carter doing his bidding we have nothing to worry about, other than survial.....The US is no friend of Israel. Obama is looking for a quick fix to his problems of high unemployment, health care etc and will actually get it by pressuring Israel to concede to it's own destruction. But on a happy note they will be there with candles lementing our destruction and death...how nice of them...and don't think the Israeli left is not appreciative, me on the other hand just wish they would decide that someone else is their friend so they can destroy them......
8. Amr Moussa concerned about demographics
Sam ,   Canada   (05.17.09)
Amr Moussa wants a halt to Israeli construction in the West Bank because it will affect the population balance. However, Arabs refuse to clearly state that they have dropped the demand to inject hordes of Palestinians into Israel. The Arab Initiative seems more like a Wall Street advertising campaign to delude the West into believing Arabs really want 2 states rather than the 3 no's of Khartoum. Basically, the Arabs are looking for Western boycotts and pressure on Israel for withdrawals.
9. How about callin for a halt to terror and hostilities?
Mike ,   Jerusalem   (05.17.09)
How about calling for the release of Gilad Shalit? How about calling for a halt to Iran's anti-Israel rhetoric? So many things need to be halted before they worry about Jews re-settling Jewish land!
10. to REUBEN BRAUNER # 14
(05.17.09)
Do you mean that if Jews can live and settle everywhere on the West Bank , i.e. make one country , then Arabs can buy and settle and live in any part of Israel?. If we are making One country, then we must have same laws for all citizens, or there will be 2 sets of laws, one for the Jews and another for the Arabs/?? Jews can live anyplace but not Arabs?, are you promoting to create another old South Africa?, apartheid etc?
11. TO # 4 MR. BRAUNER
DAVID ,   HERZLIA,ISRAEL   (05.17.09)
Do you mean that if Jews can buy land and live everywhere in Israel/West Bank so can Arabs? ( any place in ISrael/West Bank?) You want to create ONE Country for all, this means one set of laws and rights, same for Jews and Arabs?, You want a bi-national state with same rights for all inhabitants ?, or you want a completely apartheid state modeled in old Souh Africa?. Majority of Jews in Israel do not agree with you, the majority want 2 states.
12. Amr Moussa needs to offer a deal
Ari   (05.17.09)
end right of return for end to settlements. two states for two peoples can only work if that is the deal. if not, then settlements will continue, and with haredim and settlers having a higher growth rate than palestinians (look it up - population doubling every 15 years), the result will be not in doubt...
13. The Arb League and The Tragedy of Arbia pressing issues
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (05.17.09)
The Arb League has never once convened an Arb summit to discuss the backward state of the Arb world and therein lies the problem. The sad truth is that the fantasies portrayed in Arbian Nights have long since become an Arbian nightmare in large measure because the Arb world has no real consensual governments; statism and tribalism hamper market economics and ensure stagnation. Sexual apartheid, Islamic fundamentalism, the absence of an independent judiciary, and a censored press all do their part to ensure endemic poverty, rampant corruption and rising resentment among an exploding population. By any standard that matters in the modern world - economic development, job creation, literacy, education, scientific achievement, political freedom and respect for human rights - Arbia is light years behind modern humanity. Instead Arbs relied exclusively on the great sea of oil beneath their deserts as a substitute for intellect, creativity and entrepreneurship. It has now cost them their future and saddled the world with a parasitic and pathologically suicidal movement that has proven its capacity to destroy and its incapacity to create anything of substance to human civilization.
