1. Peres Cops Out
Pal Pal ,   The M E   (05.17.09)
The old Israeli tactic of deflecting attention away from problems, and not answering the question. How long has Israel had nukes now? How many Nukes? Quote "In response to comments made earlier Sunday by Arab League chief Amr Moussa, who said the Arabs were concerned more with Israel's nuclear capabilities than with Iran's, the president said "I suggest that Moussa check why Iran wants to destroy Israel before he raises the issue of armament." By the way, Iran has never said that it wants to wipe Israel of the map (show me a direct quote if you can). It said that Israel would end up wiping itself out.
2. that's funny I thought for
ghostq   (05.17.09)
one moment Mr. Peres is the president and not the prime minister, my bad.
3. Peres and Pal Pal
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron-Israel   (05.17.09)
Dear Pal, Why don't you go together to a retirement house and enjoy there? Peres words are as important as yours, that's to say pure nonsense!
4. I never knew Assad is the shy type,
ghostq   (05.17.09)
Assad need a coach. he will help him to be more outspoken, and he will also help him to get rid of negative thoughts about fundings terror orgs like Hizb.
5. Peres overstepping his position!
JAyjay ,   Israel   (05.17.09)
The President of Israel is supossed to be used for ceremonial purposes ONLY! Why is Peres allowed to over step his position, and push his failed Oslo Agenda?
6. the senile old man still thinks he is PM
zionist forever   (05.17.09)
The president is supposed to be a figurehead above politics thats for the PM & Knesset not the president. Since he became president every chance he had had he has used as an excuse to get involved in politcal policy making on all issues and we nobody tells him to shut up because he is still a darling of the western world recently receiving a knighthood. Its obvious the man intends on dying in politics so please ether get on with it and do it gracefully ( acting like the president is supposed to act not the PM ) If you plan on living forever then keep your mouth shut. I know the nobel prize and now the knighthood have probably gone to your head but time to let the Knesset make the political decisions and you get back to kissing babies.
7. PEACE = EUPHEMISMS FOR PIECES
stude ham   (05.17.09)
Pieces of Israel... from Golan to Jersualem to Judea and Samaria to the dregs left over from the League of Nastions... and eventually returning to the overcrowded ghettos of the goy world. Peres is a very sick old blind man.
8. Land for PISS is useless....
Cynthia Garnier ,   Edmonton, Canada   (05.17.09)
Giving Land and signing a PISS document is irrelevant. Better, let them eliminate words of 'killing Jews' from Koran. That shall be more truthworthy. Written by bunch of thugs in 7th century.
9. BABy LISTEN : THE JEWISH IDENTITY STAYS AS EVER :)
BEN ,   singapore   (05.17.09)
ULTIMATUM !
10. Peres and peace
MC ,   UK   (05.17.09)
When will old man Peres stop interfering in politics? No matter what position he has he always tries to upstage policy with his worn out disasterous failed Oslo ideas. There can never be peace with those who openly say they want to destroy us. How is it that the left insist on repeating their failures and expecting a different result? This is sick thinking!
11. For Israel Holding the Golan is more important than peace.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (05.17.09)
If Syria would ask Israel for peace and in exchange abandon any claim for the Golan, peace would become a reality and the benefit for Syria would be tremendous. That will not happen, so, there is no reason for Israel to be generous with the Mafia regime of Assad. The Assad family has established a hereditary dynasty shored up by repression within, and confrontation and terror abroad. The rule of the Assads is not aimed at improving the lot of their people or forwarding a particular ideology. They changed ideology from secular Arabism to a seemingly impossible confection of pan-Arabism and Islamist extremism. It is pointless to “engage” Syria in dialogue except insofar as it is possible to confront them with their violations and insist that they mend their ways as explained at : http://xrl.us/bjcsd
