1. It's very simple. Remove the photographers.
The riots take place specifically for the sake of photographers. They are photo ops.
As a supporter of the free press, I do not say this lightly, but if the demonstrators want press coverage, let them protest peacefully.
|
|
2. Unacceptable
It is unacceptable that Israeli soldiers are weekly placed in harm because Arabs and their lefty supporters feel it is okay to throw rocks, paint, destroy property and hide behind people they know the IDF won't harm. If these individuals can't follow simple instructions like--stay away from the fence I propose that an area 15 feet wide be mined!! Clear large signs should be posted and a simple low chain link fence be placed on the "mine border'" If the protestors step over they risk get blown up--not IDF's fault--these people were warned. Their choice!

3. If someone throws rocks & molotov cocktails at police in USA
they get years in jail- at the minimum.
asault and battery with a dangerous weapon
assualt and battery with intent to cause significant injury
for the molotov cocktails that is attmepted murder.
Israel has idiots in charge who know not any logic.
1) have hidden cameras from multiple areas filming the hate consumed, violent racists and anti semites (kapos too)
2) arrest every single one. additional charges of resisting a police officer (solider), assault and battery on a police officer, attempting to inflict injury on a police officer, inflicting injury on a police officer, etc.
There wont be any more protests when these nazi wannabe's are getting acquainted with smelly cellmates in jail.

4. Remove the damn fence
The reason they are protesting is because it divides their town in 2...and cuts them off from their lands. Why is it there you ask? So a few dozen Jewish extremist settlers can live in an illegal settlement they set up just outside of the Palestinian village.

5. Soldiers

6. A well placed sniper could put a bullet in their thigh that
would not be life threatening. When a couple go down but can't be shetheads they will stop this.
How about spreading a load of pig manure thirty feet from the fence, they won't wade in that.

7. It's called protecting democracy...
and thank you to the IDF, the most moral army in the world. It is tough to preserve the very rights that also offend, but this is the price of democracy. In Israel, every faction has it's value. This time the protesters demonstrate freedom of speech and the right to assemble while the IDF makes certain they have the leeway to do this as well as protect the barrier.
btw, #1, it is not the western press coverage the demonstrators desire so much as the underground leftist EU press and the Arab media which is the reward for the demonstrators. There is a sort of celebrity rank and file in the protester world and Niilin is seen as pretty macho. You get big points and maybe even speaking engagement bigger bucks if you go there and stand up for the poor downtrodden folk against the big bad Israeli IDF. They will always get coverage in the Arab press.

|
8. Finish the fence already!
It has been 8 years since the government started buliding the fence yet it still is not even two thirds complete.
Instead this cat and mouse game with these protesters.
The fence needs to be finished immediately.
Anyone who tries to climb the fence should be shot immediately in the legs.

9. Arrest these people
They are throwing rocks now, next they will bring weapons.
The Police and Army should arrest anyone who throws objects at the soldiers.
Perhaps a concrete wall could be built instead of the wire fences in this area as well.
|
|
10. Bears no resemblance to reality
The journalist who did this piece does not even seem to know the difference between the villages of Bil'in and Naalin. I have been to the demonstrations in Bil'in, and this piece is obviously fictitious. The demonstrations are not violent, it is only the soldiers who open fire, and even if the demonstrations were violent, they can do what they please on their own land--the apartheid wall is anyway illegal and the International Court of Justice ruled that it must be removed. The idea that an occupying power can respond violently because the residents of a village refuse to leave the area is ludicrous. The soldiers behave like animals and savages.

13. One of the slogans called in English by the "demonstrators"
is: "From the River to the Sea, Palestine Shall be Free"
This is a call to annihilate the UN member state of Israel, no more and no less, and all means are acceptable in that struggle.
I am dismayed by the fact that the "internationals", the real trouble makers, are permitted to enter the country and are not arrested and expelled once caught.
Enough is enough!!!

15. IL has some "creative expanding" its own
Hmm, I wonder why "Gaza is so much easier to deal with" maybe its because there arent so much foreign protestors there to record these "dealing with disturbances".
""subject to very difficult restrictions""--miss shooting straight at people huh. and the people are peotesting for noting eh.
Im glad that they damage the "fence", atleast thats some of my tax money going back into "the system" cuz surely its not coming back to us arabs. God bless them protestors, foreign and local.
lol @ "dont want to inflame situation" aww, the poor troops whose eyes hurt from their own tear gas use, im so touched. thats Gods work-with the wind, not to mention the massive waste of money on "projects".
I like the shoe idea, show em' how much theyre worth, lol. though stones are more practical in retaliation for bullets, if they are prohibited from possessing arms.

16. only in israel this can happen !!!
i can't believe what i'm reading every shabbat ! how is it possible that you allow every friday since 2 years our enemies to attack our soldiers !? this ridiculous situation can happen in only one place in the world: ISRAEL ! what for ? to prove that we are " democrats " ?! this is stupid ! france, usa, or, of course arab countries would never allow a demonstration to take place in their country every friday ! israel must simply FORBID from now and for ever theses enemies to rally and clash in naalin ! and it's very easy : the israeli leftists-traitors must be arrested and put in trial and jail.once they will be jailed for months; believe me, they will never come back to naalin...the bastards from eurabia and other places must be stopped at ben gurion airport and expelled back to eurabia... ( if you can beat them for me before expelling them toda raba ;-) ).... and the so-called " palestinians " must be prevented to aproach the fence les than 5OO hundreds meters.... if 4 or 5 bastards, anyway, succed to come and throw stones again, the soldiers have to break their bones LIKE the french police do here in france if there is clashes !!! STOP being so kind and permissive !!! you can stop this for ever if only you decide ! wake up israel !

19. Using minimal force, and getting minimal results.
The IDF is putting it's own soldiers at risk to protect these feral jackasses, crack a few skulls, arrest them, give them heavy fines, and deport them never to return. These people actually have schools,on how to disrupt and demonstrate at the fence.

20. Agree, israel is stupid to let this
happen. After all there are millions of people who thinks that israel are killing civilians which is not true. So Israel should start kill civilians.. at least their claims will be true. (laughing)
ok back to the topic, instead of the $$$ fence israel should put MINES and concrete bunkers so they cant suicide there. STOP RISKING SOLDIERS!!!!

21. #15, yeah because nobody was covering the Gaza War
is there any lie blatant enough you won't make it?
|
|
22. #21, you dont listen to the news much ("yeah") then
It was mentioned even in BBC and CNN that it was Aljazeera that was the only news station covering the conflict in the conflict zone. where do you think the "accusation" of IL using white phosphorus came from? Surely it wasnt by blind pali "witnesses" since noone would believe them since they're all "terrorists" or hamas supporters or what the like other BS out there like "pallywood" (lol, btw)..thats unless you dont accept aljazeera as a news source-then thats your problem not mine. I didnt see any CNN or BBC corespondents except when the boarder was finally opened to allow foreign nationals' family members to get out. I have gotten much coverage from my CNN and BBC international channels that I dont know what to do with them...I should promote them to higher positions on my satellite- since it is 5 star coverage.
What exactly did I lie about? please show me "the facts" because obviously there is no newspapers, internet and television sets where I am (jerusalem) so Im prone to picking up the wrong information.

|
23. The wall will fall
Israel didn't learn for the past walls and fences. Israel has a right to build true borders in the 1967 borders lines.(not any thing else)
|
|
24. Solutions?
If only you could hear yourselves! "Break their bones"; "crack their skulls"; "Israel should start kill civilians"; "anyone who climbs the fence should be shot immediately in the legs".
Treating your neighbours as subhuman is in and of itself a subhuman act. After years of trying to see the Israeli side of this, I'm about ready to give up; Israel's use of force makes a mockery of all three Jus in Bello tenets (Proportionality/Discrimination/Responsibility), its refusal to pay any attention to International Law shows an arrogance beyond belief, and claims about lies in the press are somewhat difficult to believe given the proportion of news networks which are run by those supportive of Israel in comparison to those which are not.
I find this page both bizarre and disturbing. Instead of searching for compromise, of finding peace, of justice, there is a sick fetishism for violence and brutality.
