Amar launches battle against reform conversions     Kobi Nahshoni
31. a real dilemma
As someone with democratic ideas , i would support reform conversions . But , the reforms have such a bad reputation with their "tchic tchac" conversions , that i , a secular Jew , can't agree with the way they are doing it . And as i generally don't accept converrts as being Jewish , many generations are needed before someone can belong to our people , i certainly not want masses to become "Jewish" . Some will call me racist ? let it be so , no problem for me . PS : look at this "convert" , self proclaimed one , this mr Van .....AKA paqid . This is certyainly not what a TRUE Jew , even secular , can call a Jew .

32. RESPONSE TO SARAH ROUSSO
Historically, the Sephardic Jews were always clinging to the strict Halacha wherever they lived. They died for halacha. Read the history of Torquemada. In the Arab lands, they did not and could not intermarry because if an Arab man wanted to marry a Jewish girl, he had to convert her, which was an impossible thing. He had to steal her practically and hide her in his village. A Jewish man was not able to marry an Arab woman because he would be killed by his own community. This state of affair is still prevalent today in most Arab lands. I am afraid that your relinquishing the recommendations of the Chief Rabbi of Israel is simply your misconception of the state of affairs in the rabbinate. The Rabbinate is only trying to maintain and save the statutes of HALACHAH. You seem to demonize those who are passing the Law of the Creator of the Universe. These people are the "watchers" of THE BOOK, of the Talmud, of the TRADITIONAL INTERPRETATIONS AND VERSIONS OF THE HALACHA. This same book says that one is not allowed to add or withdraw anything from it. These people are the EXPERTS. The Sephardim have been the "experts" since the time they left Babylon and settled around the Mediterranean peninsula. They have not invented any Reformed or Conservative institution. These were created by German Jews out of hard pressures. I will not elaborate on the subject. The problem here is a your difficulty with EMUNAH IN GENERAL AND EMUNAT CHACHAMIM. The Rabbis accept those who are not observant of Halacha since they are free to observe Jewish law the way they see it. Each Jew is responsible to is Creator. But the Rabbinate of Israel will not be silent if and when the CHARACTER AND THE ESSENCE OF A 5000 YEARS OBSERVANCE is threatened and taken to a secular Court in the model of the non Jewish Court.

33. reform is the answe to jewish people !!!!
haredim are the worst, the real trash of AM AYEUDI, who is working for 2 people separated from one another.----- with your separate laws, separate behavior, separate sexes, separate buses, separate shopping, separate synagogues please lets be united againbst orthodox fanatic and dengarous people

34. End Welfare, End Problems
Look , Israel was founded by secular zionists, not haredi. Through welfare we have created a class of people who are ....... End Welfare and army exemption for Haredi, and there will be less Haredi every year. The right of conversion and marriages belongs to the jewish people and their representatives in the Government.

Before to ask the Jewish people to be united against fanatic orthodox , don't call the charidim trash . With such hate you will not achieve anything . The contrary . You may believe in what sort of Judaism , or "pseudo" Judaism you want . No problem for me . But to be accepted into the Jewish People , you must fullfill some rules , and the first of all , you must be Jewish . And there , if you like it or not , the Orthodox are right . You can't accept "thic Tchac" [ speedily ] conversions , you can't accept conversions for the sole reason of marriage . A convert must do it out of full conviction , and do it by Halacha . PS : don't think i'm religious , not at all , the contrary . But i'm Jewish , 100 % from head to toe .
