3. Panic
Why are we afraid of the truth?
This is a Jewish State!!! However doesn't like that, should at least resign from all social benefits, the point here is not what the arabs or the left think, the point is that we must be proud of being a Jewish State, no matter who that bothers.
We have too many cowards in the government!

4. Gee, take the benefits of Israel but be loyal to hamass and
that is OK. This takes "love your enemies" way too far.

6. 2, 3,4 & 5
the proposed bill includes wording that speaks about being a democracy.
Most of the Jewish people in the West Bank and most of the voters for Israel Beitanu would fall on the point...as their views are less than democratic.
Now if we are going to have a loyalty law that means everyone has to take the oath and the oath is problematic for many Jews.
Best option back down from the bloody hot potato!
In other words stop thinking about how you can punish the Arab citizens of Israel and start thinking about how you can reward all of the citizens of Israel!

7. THAT MEANS ONE CAN BE DISLOYAL?
RE-WRITING OF HISTORY SHOULD BE IN THE OFFING AS A RESULT FROM THIS PANDERING DECISSION.

8. Too bad the cabinet is not loyal to the Zionist state!
Our biggest enemies are sitting in the knesset. Both "jews" and non Jews. We need to sweep them all out in the next election and replace each politician. If you are not loyal to the state, then leave!

9. I don't have the bill details before me, but ...
I don't think this law is the way to go.
One must distinguish first between those who have citizenship by being born in the country and those who acquire it through legal means. The former can and should be dealt with under laws dealing with treason and sedition.
It is however entirely appropriate that one requesting citizenship affirm allegiance to the laws and values of the state to which one is requesting citizenship. Those wishing to become Americans, for example, take an oath of allegiance as the final step to becoming a citizen.
But loyalty and love of country is better demonstrated by actions than by reading an oath. They demonstrate that by serving in the defense of the country and through national service. Those who do so *should* be rewarded - by grants for higher education, preferential hiring for government posts, etc. (Veterans preferences are accepted as quite normal in the US.)
If Israel's Arabs, its haredim or its left wingers choose to incite against the state, laws can deal with that. And if they choose not to serve, they'll lose out on the benefits. It's as simple as that.

10. Raymond citizenship isn't automatic with birth in Israel...
One has to be Jewish and born in Israel to receive citizenship automatically.
For example the children of legal foreign workers born in Israel do not receive Israeli citizenship automatically.
