3. Mr. Obama did just fine!
(06.04.09)
If you were listening you heard what you didn't want to hear which was the truth! He was fair and balanced regarding everyone!
4. Dream on for peace.
David Powell ,   Everett. Wa. DPRSSA   (06.04.09)
Israel has already given given back territory such as Gaza and where did that get them? More rocket attacks from there. Obama will keep pressureing you IE Israel to give up more territory for "peace" and divideing Jerusalem. Obama is already supporting Iran in there developing nuclear "energy" when they are already sitting over a lake of oil. Be aware.
5. Obama's speech
Michael Schwartz ,   New York   (06.04.09)
I do not get my own president. He is throwing Israel to the wolves. We all know there could be peace...TOMORROW...if the arabs truly wanted peace. But they don't. They want land, but not only land...they want a land with no Jews. I have been hearing about potential peace for almost 50 years of my lifetime. When have the arabs shown a desire for peace...never. They want land. They use terror. Obama, you sold America a bill of goods. Your agenda will not only hurt America, but Israel too. Is Israel the only Democracy in the Middle East? Yes it is. I pray we in the USA can fix all the problems you have done to our economy in your attempt to make us a socialist nation. Israel, beware. Obama is selling you out. You have every right to defend yourselves. Obama intends to reach a hand to Moslems which is fine. But, where are the moderate Moslems? Where do they hide? Why do the fanatical Moslems - the terrorists - control the Moslem world. Should Israel negotiate with Hamas - an organization bent on destroying Israel? Obama thinks so. You'd have to be self-destructive to negotiate with that terror group.
6. settlements for...
Ari   (06.04.09)
for what? for the renunciation of the right of return. obama, if he wants to 'talk frankly', needs to tell the arab world that the 'right of return' needs to end, just as he needs to tell israel that the settlements must end.
7. Once again we've been abandoned
Douglas Miller ,   Detroit, USA   (06.04.09)
After reading President Obama's speech from Cairo, I am filled with great fear, apprehension and sorrow. The remnants of the Jewish people have once again been handed over to the evil monsters who want to finish us off. In America's name, Mr. Obama, waved the white flag of surrender. This was a shameful attempt to appease the forces of radical Islam who threaten all of Western civilization. And his con- ciliatory gesture was to give the green light to the terrorists, and the tyrannical regimes who employ them, that Israel is now fair game. He would like the Jewish state to go quietly into the night, but won't lose any sleep over a nuclear incineration. Mr. Obama, stop this madness. Sacrificing Israel is not going to appease the insatiable desires of radical Islam for world domination. Sacrificing Israel will only encourage an escalation of Islamic aggression that will lead us into another devastating world war.

10. In the spirit of Obama's speech
Amihai ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.04.09)
In the spirit of Obama's speech, let the Muslim-Arabs come out with a clear and direct statement, in Arabic, Hebrew and English, as follows: We recognize Israel's right to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people, and this is based on both UN resolutions as well as the universally accepted right of all peoples to national self-determination and independence. Such a statement will assure us, Jews, within and without our national homeland, that indeed the other side is interested in an accommodation of peaceful coexistence with our nation-state and with our people. This will enable us to lower substantially our guards in taking additional risks towards peace. I look forward to hearing this statement!!!
11. Also in the spirit of Barak Obama's speech,
(06.04.09)
Also in the spirit of Obama's speech, let the Jewish villages and towns in the West Bank be and their Jewish residents live there under any future political regime; just as Arab villages and towns exist in the nation-state of the Jewish people: Israel. Why should the disputed territories be "cleansed" of Jews if the intent is to live along side a Jewish national home in peace and harmony?
12. As long as we join weight watchers
Mini ,   Israel   (06.04.09)
shrink our weeny country into non existence, and become an even smaller mini Israel this new Uncle Sam will (maybe) mini smile at us. Sorry Uncle Sam, we'd rather stay secure and fat. Check out how gigantically fat our cousins are (we're all sons of Abraham, right?) with their vast twenty three states, Uncle. Then get back to us with a whacking big macking, get fatter diet, thanks.
13. Obama's palestinians to black slavery comparison is false
Dan ,   haifa israel   (06.04.09)
Hamas sent a delegation to Sudan along with Iran to support Sudan's leader Bashir. Hamas is supporting Bashir who is committing genocide against blacks in darfur. Also arabs treat blacks as second class citizens. You should read thd quotes about what they say about black american troops. Iran is bringing in weapons through sudan to gaza to use against israel. Obama is clueless about the analogy. Palestinians are on the side of Iran, and Sudan's leader not on the side of the black slaves and darfur refugees or south africans.
14. Blah, blah, blah. Repeat 100 times and you have it all.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.04.09)
1. The arabs will NEVER give up their unreasonable demands. 2. Israel will NEVER give up it's security for a fake peace (unless kadima gets elected again.) 3. There will NEVER be peace until Hashem comes and the third temple is built and the Jews occupy ALL of the land G-d gave them and ALL of the arabs live in their own lands in peace and prosperity away from Israel.
15. Obama's speech: stupid and naive
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.04.09)
and "observer" - you can't beat Israel either - better join it while you can!
16. We will survive but Obama has crossed the line.
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (06.04.09)
We survived the Greeks, the Romans, the Christians, the Saracens, the Spanish Inquisition, the Shoah and wars against 22 Arab Countries. Most of what Obama said in Cairo was expected but what was not and can never be forgiven is the way he compared the "suffering of the Palestinians", suffering brought on themselves by hatred and jealousy of the Jewsih People and Israel, to the Holocaust! If ever there was a reason for Israel to withdraw her Ambassador from Washington for consultation, this is it. The Government of the State of Israel has an obligation to every Jew in this world to demand an apology from the President of the United States of America for this affront to the Jewish People !
17. israel must choose, peace or land
Shaun ,   SAn Fran, US   (06.04.09)
Now the US president is telling Netanyahu, stop the settlement or else! The US attitude is changing as americans are sick and tired of their government unconditional support for israel. We support israel as long as this serves our interests. Let be no doubt about it, america wants israel to accept two state solution and abandon this silly ideological belief of greater israel, israel must choose between settlements/land and peace; if it chooses the former, then it will be alone.
18. Obama Wants To Be Prez Of New World Order
USABorn   (06.04.09)
Henry Kissinger has stated that Obama is prime for leader of the NWO. His agenda is not about America. He is spending the U.S. into a debt we will not recover from. If you have any doubt, do a search on Kissinger, Obama New World Order. There is much info out about that and Obama does not deny it. He has given Kissinger much praise. Everything is falling into place just as the Bible says.
19. Obama lives in a dream world
Solomon ,   Ashdod, Israel   (06.04.09)
Obama: No problem if all the Jews have to leave the occupied territory and agree to the two countries for two people solution it can come on one condition only. That is if all the Arabs living in Israel should move to Palestine and not live on the favors’ and expense of the Jewish people. We want to live in peace.
20. THERE WE GO AGAIN
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (06.04.09)
The suckers who run this country will again bend over backwards, retreat and sell out its own people for absolutely nothing. Like a bunch of dogs they sit on their haunches, waiting for a treat from Hussein Obama, but they will get Zippo in return. Every time one thinks that we have hit rock bottom, we sink deeper in the muck. This so-called right wing government is no different then the other previous losers, there is not one who really stands up for our own land. Secular Zionism in reality never left the Ghetto, like they say the Arabs will recognize us when hell freezes over. Talking about hell our fine state will create one for us here.
21. To: No. 17
Shaun ,   New York City, USA   (06.04.09)
Arizona, New Mexico and part of California were stolen from Mexico in an illegal act which has come to be known as the "Gadsden Purchase." Are you willing to settle for a two-state solution involving Arizona, New Mexico and Arizona? Right. That's what I thought. Israel, on the other hand, won six wars. The Palestinians rejected three opportunities for a two-state solution. The settlements are on land which Israel acquired while fighting a defensive war. That makes both the acquisition and the settlements fully legal. I refer you to the Hague Second and Third Conventions which cover the matter of land acquisition during war exhaustively. I also advise you to shut up until you get your facts and your history straight. Bye-bye, Shaun. Come back when you know something.
22. Mubarak and his son Gamal did not attend the speech
(06.04.09)
There was supposed to be an extensive press conference after the Obama-Mubarak meeting in which the parties declare some of the points discussed at the meeting. But this did not happen, in its entirety: only very short vague summary spoken without answering journalists' questions, which is interpreted by some analysts as may be the result of disagreement between the parties at the meeting. Another point needs to be analyzed: why did not Gamal Mubarak attend the speech by Presiden; in particular he is the Secretary of the Policy Committee of the ruling party, which calls for necessity of his presence during Obama's speech . But, this did not happen.
23. It is not possible
Sarah ,   New York CIty, USA   (06.04.09)
to make peace with "people" (I use the term loosely) who want nothing other than the eradication of the State of Israel and the extermination of the Jewish people. That is not going to happen. Ergo, q.e.d. -- get rid of the Arab rejectionists, and there's something to discuss. Not unless; not until. Not a particularly hard concept to grasp, Mr. Obama ...... unless you're operating on a very different agenda than you profess .... that's not a hard concept to grasp or accept either, Mr. President. Just whose interests are you pushing? That of the American people? Or a very special, secret and private set of beliefs all your very own?
24. To: No. 3
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (06.04.09)
No. He was not balanced. He was not fair. Or did I miss the part where he did not criticize Iran for its nuclear ambition? Did I miss the part where he set a timetable for Iran to comply?
25. To: No. 7
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (06.04.09)
It's okay, dear. For one thing -- we're used to it. For a second (far more important) thing, we always perform better under those circumstances. It unifies us remarkably and fills us with a resolve. Tends to remind us that we shouldn't always have to fight for the right to exist -- and makes us work efficiently to assert that right. If we are forced to assert that right again, Iran just might turn into a glowing cinder. Not a half bad idea, at that. It would solve a whole lot of problems in the world. Too bad they would have to miss the Fourth of July parties that they had no intention of attending, anyway. Ha'kol ieai b'seder.
26. #7- nice acting just to attract more Sympathy

nice try . now you can go to Hollywood !
27. No amount of politically correct BS can change the reality
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (06.04.09)
I'm waiting for the day when arabs come with a peace proposal that doesn't include the annihilation of Jews. That day may never come.
28. U.S/Obama BREAKS U.S. LAW Forbidding Discrimination on the
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.04.09)
grounds of race and/or religion! Has this law been eliminated or does the law apply to everyone except Jews? WHERE ARE THE HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYERS? Jews must be ethnically cleansed for the SOLE, UNJUST REASON THEY ARE NOT MUSLIM! Pharaoh America: "stop natural growth." Will U.S. DEMAND Jews have abortions? And the U.S. relentless demand for a Muslim TERROR State in vulnerable, global jihad-embattled little Israel-David against the Goliath of the HUGE, hostile Jew-hater genocidal Arab Muslim world. DECEITFULLY called the Arab/Israeli conflict, it's Global Jihad against Israel and the Free World.
29. Obama declared ALL of Israel to be occupied
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (06.04.09)
Obama claimed that "for more than sixty years [Palestinians] have endured the pain of dislocation" and "daily humiliations - large and small - that come with occupation." Oh, really? Didn't the so called occupation begin in 1967? Does Mr. Obama believe that the occupation began in 1948? Is all of Israel occupied teritory? And Shimon Peres shares this dream?
30. Sarah the new yorker
Palestinian ,   Jerusalem   (06.05.09)
right of return VS the right to exist .. we have been talking since 1990 (oslo ) . palestinians done talking .. america from today's-on can't afford not to be an honest broker . when to parties are unable to reach a solution ,a third friendly party to both should force a solution . your only way out as an israeli is 1967 line ,israelis in the west bank are welcome to become palestinians ...arabs inside israel are welcome to become israelis . we are done talking after today .
