I do believe most Lebanese tilted toward the Hariri camp because of Obama speech and influence. Some how, young Arabs have hope in Obama to change things in the Middle East toward peace and democracy. I do also believe Hamas will alter its views and moderate its positions in order not look as the obstacle to peace. I hope this new found hope will materlized to reality

If this truly is a step towards a more moderate and peaceful arab reality than I am all for it. I cannot help but to be sketpical because of all the history but any glimmer of hope is reason to be supportive. I can say without question that Israelis would welcome a peaceful neighbor in Lebanon and would be thrilled at the prospect of peace in our lifetimes.
