A wounded animal    Ron Ben-Yishai
1. Shia's danger
Chiism is a dangerous heretic cult who is therereatening the whole middle east. It is in the insterest of Israel to make peace with teh muslim sunni world, becaus ewith us the conflict is yet political, because Chiism is a millenaristical fanaticism that is willing to brng havoc on all the region..

2. Where is the UN in disarming hez-bull-ah? Was there no 1701?
Give the UN three months to disarm hez-bull-ah in Lebanon or have all the UN scum in Israel put on a plane back to NYC. You would prove the UN is useless and get rid of the pests in Israel that do nothing but tell the world how good the terrorists are and how bad Israel is.

3. disappointed
I would like to say I am very disappointed of you article..... Israel is nothing more then a Zionist Terrorist State and just wanted that victory so they can attack Lebanon but it is not game over till it is over. Lebanon will never be defeated so good luck.

4. re: Shia's danger
What you say is true Abu, but until neither shia nor sunni holds as the greatest goal the killing of Jews, then I'm afraid Israel has no choice but to abstain from taking sides on this matter.

5. incorrect, sir
Hezbollah won 57 seats. That is every one they campaigned for. Furthermore, they still retain veto power. Not exactly what I would call a "wounded animal". Lets review, shall we? First, Hezbollah was a poorly funded rag-tag, outlaw terrorist guerrilla group, capable of blowing up a bus or a restaurant. Then they got more money and recruits; enough to defy Lebanese government to do whatever they want. Then they were legitimized (partially) in operating as a security force in areas Lebanon was unable to. Transformed into a para-military security force, they successfully engaged in violence to further their political aspirations. Eventually they gained a very few seats in the house, *officially* legitimizing the former outlaw terrorist group as an actual government entity. Then they used violence and assassination to gain more seats, as well as veto power. Now they have 57 of 128 seats, winning every one they campaigned for. Where exactly is this DIMINISHING? Based on past results, the only reasonable projection is that Hezbollah will campaign for and win 65 or more seats in the next elections, making them the majority. Explain again what you mean by "defeat".

9. The 2006 defeat has left a bitter taste in Israeli mouths
So this article is expected! It's amusing anyways :)

10. #3 Keep Deluding Yourself
No one is trying to "defeat Lebanon", except Syria and Iran via the cancer that is eating it up from inside: Hizbullah. This has nothing to do with Israel, so stop distracting yourself from the real issue.

11. The Lebanese
The article claims that the shiite are 40% of the lebanese. Then, it claims had the Hezbollah won, it would have been a disaster for the Lebanese. Is the article claiming that these 40% of people are worth less than the 25% of Sunni's or 30% of christians? A Lebanese is a Lebanese and just because a person chooses something that goes against Israel, does not mean the vote does not count. Or, is Israel still keeping the same mindset it had when it overthrew Hamas after their victory? Also, Hezbollah didnt win the parliamentary elections, however it did win the popular vote with 55% (similar to Bush-Kerry in '04 here in the US)

12. He kicked your back during IDF operation in Lebonan!
he gained enormous prestige among all arabs and even among Israelis During Israeli operation, and route in Lebonan, even Israelis watched to hizbullah TV.

You would be right if Israel were not subject to the same resolution which also calls for leaving Shebaa Farms and stopping the overflights over lebanese territories; in other words, dont you think you're being a little one sided?

14. #12 Nasrallah did a lot of damage
Both Lebanon and Israel suffered and in the end, Nasrallah went into hiding and lost the election. It was funny to see him desperately clinging to Israel as a make believe enemy in order to stay in power. Ahmadinejad did the same.

What a sort of fairness in terms of Insults does you YNET do when you publish like this article with the head of a Wounded Animal to a human being for what ever he did to Israel..

16. To number 9
Is that why Nasrallah, is still like a little mole hiding underground? Because he won..! Funny how all Iranians, keep saying Hizb won, what exactly did they win?

17. Hezbollah LOST the 2006 war
Israel is such a nervous, paranoid country that if they don't overwhelmingly defeat a foe, they consider themselves to have lost the war. But did Israel lose? About 1,000 of the core Hezbollah fighters were killed, most of their long range missiles were taken out in the first hour of the conflict by the Israeli Air Force, and gradually the Israelis adapted to Hezbollah's tough, unprecedented (for Arabs) fighting style and started to push them back. The Shi'ite section of Beirut was bombed into rubble and much of Lebanon lay in flames and ruins. Nasrallah himself hid like a rat in the basement of the Iranian embassy, or else he was completely across the border in a safe house in Syria. Once U.S. Sec. Rice and the U.N. got their slimy fingers into the game and forced Israel to cease fire, one could argue that Hezbollah "won" in the sense that it wasn't completely destroyed. Now Israel has been investigating its flawed campaign and correcting problems. It's unlikely that the Arabs will once again succeed in cracking encrypted Israeli transmissions--something that in all likelihood they only achieved with expert Iranian assistance. Next time, if there is a next time, the Israeli response to an attack will doubtless be more deadly, and more decisive. Enough of this crowing that Hez won. The only thing they have going for them is their ridiculously high birth rate which is allowing them to swamp the country with their own kind. The rest of Lebanon may soon wake up to find itself a minority within a fundamentalist Shi'ite dictatorship, one that exists to wage war with Israel. They will watch helplessly as their Shi'ite masters turn their once beautiful country into nothing but an Iranian forward base in the Iranian Crusade.

18. #16 do you even read?
What exactly did they win?????? "57 seats in parliament. Every one they campaigned for." They retain veto power. They won the -majority- of the popular vote. They won TWICE the power they had before. Clear enough for you? Try reading first.
ben Ish   (06.10.09)
19. 17, get real, please.
Read the Winograd report and see what the Israeli government thought about the war. The number of fighters killed does not determine the winner of the war. Never has, never will. 1. Consider the number of rockets hezbollah launched on the final day of war. 247 rockets were launched by hezbollah on the last day of the war. This is the most they launched in one day of the war and it was the last. 2. Consider the support Hezbollah earned by not only the shia muslims, but by the sunnis and the christians across the arab and muslim world. 3. Consider the fact that Hassan Nasrallah was not forced to resign as secretary general of his organization. 4. Consider the fact that Dan Halutz, former IDF general, was forced to resign and be placed by Ashkenazi. Gee, why would he resign right after the war? 5. Consider the legitimacy Hezbollah earned from western countries like the UK, who, just 3-4 months ago, sent a british delegation to speak with Hezbollah. This shows that hezbollah was netiher weakened or destroyed and that it's not going anywhere. 6. Consider the Winograd report, introduced and drafted by Israel which proved the failures of the war.

Nasrallah is not hiding because he's scared, trust me. In case you haven't educated yourselves on this matter, Israel legalizes the assasination of political figures whom it doesn't like and Nasrallah was a target. Not only did Israel try to assassinate him in the '06 war, but they even recruited Lebanese in his country to try and kill him. That's why he's hiding. He's not going to stand out wide in the open and say, "go ahead..shoot me! I dont want people like Cynthia and Allan to think Im hiding because Im a coward!"
