31. #23 - Just like Israeli Arabs are Israeli?
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (06.10.09)
Israeli Arabs have it best in Israel, than in all other Arab countries - enjoying social services, good health care, good schooling, pensions, and freedom of speech. Therefore, they should completely support and be loyal to Israel, right? After all, Israeli Arabs are Israeli. By the same logic you applied to Iranian Jews, you must agree with the same statement being said about Israeli Arabs.
32. #23 Javad
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.11.09)
There is one Jewish hospital in Iran and only a small percentage of patients are Jewish. There are only a few synagogues left in Iran and no rabbis. The only rabbis invited to Iran are Neturei Karta. Saturday is no longer the Jewish shabbat. Jews live as dhimmis in Iran and their loyalty is always suspect. Do you really think Ahmadinejad's Holocaust denial and threats against Israel made them feel comfortable? Under the prior government, there were nearly 100,000 Jews in Iran and a flourishing Jewish community. Now it's a dwindling community of 20,000-25,000. I don't think we'll ever know who they really support because they're not free to express their views.
33. How do you know ?
Sabina ,   Houston, Texas   (06.12.09)
Do you live there ?
34. But is staying in Iran worth living in fear?
Ruth Rachel ,   Virginia Beach, VA   (06.15.09)
If Jewish community in Iran cannot live in freedom, do as it pleases and speak its mind, without fear of reprisal from the Iranian establishment, is it worth it? Surviving and thriving are not the same thing. I am worried for my friends who have family in Iran now, and I want them to get their families out.
