peter ,   jerusalem   (06.10.09)
Stop talking sense and seeking a moderate middle ground: this is no place for creativity, humanity and reason. Didn't you know that God is too busy caring about whether car parks are open on a Saturday and too tied up arranging virgins for horse-back suicide bombers to care about things like love, tolerance and mutual understanding. Religion is not about seeing worldly concerns for the ephemera they are and focusing on the eternal. God doesn't care about how we treat other people: he's desperate for us to make sure we set up a scruffy caravan park on a particular scrap of soil overlooking Nablus; he goes to bed every night worrying that 12 year-old boys and girls in Gaza might accidentally be in the same room together.
32. To #14 you and your O behema
Cuban ,   Plantation Florida   (06.10.09)
What is your concern with the Israeli politics? don't you think you have enough of a problem with the president that we have? And as far as his demands and pressure, Israel has nothing to fear, the Obama goverment is gutless . Israel is fighting for rights that will always be denied to them just for being jewish. Don't give in
33. Palestinian capital
Cuban ,   Plantation Florida   (06.10.09)
Since we are so eager to create a new country with an invented name and aliviate Jordan problems with its so called refugees France woul'd be an ideal place for the palestinians and Paris their capital how about it?
34. To: Nour at No. 22
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (06.10.09)
You were offered a two-state solution no fewer than three times. Which you rejected. Guess what? You're fresh out of bites at the apple. Three times? I call that an explicit rejection of a two-state solution. And six wars and sixty years of terror later .... you keep trying to get the whole area. Israel's pretty sick of you. Jews are pretty sick of you. Hell -- your brother Arabs are pretty sick of you (kicked you out of Jordan, kicked you out of Lebanon, kicked you out of Tunisia). They, after all, left you to fester in those sordid refugee camps for over sixty years. I note for the record that following your rejection of a two-state solution in 1948, you were quite content to be Jordanian (West Bank) and Egyptian (Gaza). Facts are facts, history is history, and you cannot change either, no matter how hard you try. A "Palestinian" nation is a fiction which came about in 1967. Truth hurts, doesn't it, dear? Tough. We all have to live with the consequences of the choices we make. Some of them are irreparable. All of the Palestinian choices have been bad; all are irreparable. If you want a Palestinian state -- get Saudi Arabia to give you some land. That is the Arab homeland, after all.

I'll take Option 4. Did not Jews get expelled from many Arab/Moslem states? Did not the Jewish populations of Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem get expelled in 1948? Turnabout -- after all -- is fair play.

Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (06.10.09)
Wrong, you live somewhere between 1300 and 1400 AD, the only difference is that you have 20th century weapons. Talk about missing the evolution.
37. Mr. Mitchell
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.10.09)
You have made it clear that regardless of their violence and failure to fulfill any obligations that you and your moronic boss will continue to support genocide. We got that.
38. No. 34 Sarah
NYC Girl   (06.10.09)
You've made some excellent points. However, there's just one thing I would add and it's that the idea of a "Palestinian" state was an outgrowth of the creation of a heretofore non-existent "Palestinian" people, which was a figment of the imagination of the late, unlamented Yasser Arafat when he formed the PLO in 1964...fully three years before Israel even gained control of the territories. That being the case, what exactly was the Palestine "Liberation" Organization created to liberate? I think we know the answer. Unfortunately, somebody in Israel should have been asking the question....over and over again if necessary.
39. To: No. 38
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (06.10.09)
Excellent point. Thank you. And each and every Palestinian organization which each purport to be the true representative of the Palestinian people has at the core of its charter the stated goal of the destruction of the State of Israel (or the "Zionist Entity") and extermination of the Jews. You cannot "negotiate" with people who wish to bring about your destruction. No matter what the rest of the world thinks. (Oh, hell -- no need to be coy here; we KNOW what the rest of the world thinks. They've been acting on those thoughts for a very long time, and Jews have paid a dear price. Probably the highest in history. It's a little different now, though, isn't it, what with a modern State of Israel that can put its money where its mouth is.)
40. To: No. 25
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (06.10.09)
Not for nothing, but can you provide me with one concrete piece of historical documentation which predates the Jewish Bible? You are the squatters. Unless you can prove otherwise (I'll save you the trouble; you can't). Tee hee.
41. #35 re #17
Nour ,   Palestine   (06.10.09)
I'm now fully convinced th at between the two of us - there can only be blood. I'm also fully convinced that you''re a neanderthal calling for genocide in 2009. Again, I remind you we are sworn ennemies. No point in any exchange.
42. Nour #41
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.10.09)
'Again, I remind you we are sworn ennemies. No point in any exchange. ' Same goes for us and 'Palestinians'. Go back to Jordan and leave our lands forever.
43. It is OK Mitchel. We understand
LarryT ,   K. Sava   (06.10.09)
Turn your backs on Israelis and turn towards terrorists. We understand the new US way. Not sure I understand how the US is going this way after 9/11
44. To: No. 41
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (06.10.09)
I'm calling for expulsion, not extermination. Just like you and your Arab and Moslem brethren did to us. I just don't want you polluting the Jewish state with your violence and your hatred and your jihadist mentality and your ruthless and inhuman plans for the "infidel" (by which you mean everyone who isn't just as primitive as you). No, Palestinians are not Neanderthals. Going forward, if you really work hard at it, you might become australopitheca. Shouldn't take more than a couple of million years. The Palestinians call for extermination of the Jews. Today. In 2009. We don't call for your extermination, and we never have and never will. We just want you and your primitive natures to leave our land. The land which was gifted to us by the Almighty, and secured by the patriarchs. Ishmael was an illegitimate son who was sent into exile; Isaac was given the birthright. You need to leave off your delusions. You've substituted them for truth and history. Not Israel's fault; Israel will not pay the price for your delusions and repeated failures. Nor will we tolerate your violence. Enough, Nour, is far too much.
45. Tide turning against Obama in U.s.
Ora ,   Canada   (06.10.09)
Bibi must hold firm and not commit to anything now that would jeopardize Israeli life and security. Lots of people and media now turning against Obama in the U.S. due to his dictatorial style, also with regard to the economy and his appointment of a "Pay Czar" to dictate which salaries are to be paid to executives. Also, many criticize his ballooning the U.S. deficit, and his health plan. As to the Arabs, maybe they must begin living peacefully and democratically and normally before they allow themselves to demand or dictate anything? Maybe they should first prove that they can be normal, peaceful, human beings? And how come the U.S. and all others send so much money to so many Moslem nations who use it to buy all these arsenals of weapons?
46. Get the arab trespassers off Jewish land!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (06.10.09)
We have to remove them now and use force. And b.o.'s arab mitchell should be thrown out of our Jewish country!
47. #25 Playing the American Indian
Jake   (06.10.09)
The only group of people that can claim ethnically, linguistically, and nationally to be native to the Land of Israel or Judaea are the Jewish people. I have yet to see any proof that there is any nation called Palestinians distinguishable from other Levantine Arabs apart from modern politics.
48. avramele #17 thinks we were all born yesterday
Jake   (06.10.09)
Look how he address "talkbackers". Don't you just find that smug patronizing Leftist attitude repugnant? Option 1. "a 2 state solution with negotiated borders and territorial exchange...a palestinian state and a Jewish democratic state and no or limited (symbolic) right of return for palestinians and a creative solution to the issue of Jerusalem" GET THIS avramele. That is in fact less than whan what Ehud Olmert already offered to Abbas repeatedly, as recently as January, before Abbas turned around and told him "WE WILL NEVER RECOGNIZE A JEWISH STATE".
