The Palestinian propagandists have some favorite buzzwords they like to use all the time: legitimate, occupation, international law, resistance, human rights, war crimes. They've managed to fool a lot of the people a lot of the time, but the world is waking up to the fact that the Palestinians really aren't interested in a peaceful two-state solution. Sorry, Pals, but the international precedent is there. Your Arab buddies kicked a million Jews out of Egypt, Morocco, Yemen and other countries, and Israel took them in. So the Arab states can take in the Palestinian refugees. There is no other practical way to resolve it.

Peace between two entities requires that both entities recognize each others' existence. How on earth can we have peace when Israel is not recognized? Upon what then is this peace based? How absurd!

Let's face reality for once. One of the main obstacles to any kind of agreement is Fatah. Oslo failed because we tried to turn corrupt, inept, terrorists into peace partners. Bringing Arafat & his crooks into the territories was a major blunder. Allowing them to be the sole representative of the Palestinians was a mistake. If we want to make some kind of progress, it is time to throw Abbas & Fatah out of the territories. They must be removed from the equation. This is so obvious yet not very politically correct which is why it is never discussed.

Israel wants a Palestinian state not because it owes anything to the Palestinians. Israel does not owe any part of Jerusalem to the Palestinians. Israel does not owe any right of return of Palestinians to its area. Israel does not owe the Palestinians to let them have their own army. Israel wants a Palestinian state simply because Israel wants to separate from the Palestinians, we don't want any part of them. We don't want a one-state-solution where Palestinians would shortly become the majority. For this we are willing to generously give the Palestinians most of the West Bank (which they may CLAIM is theirs to begin with, but they'll never get them otherwise), including the removal of many settlements, so they could sustain an independent state. The Palestinians can accept the this peaceful solution, or they can continue their "armed struggle" and suffer endless more casualties.

To do anything less than demand total destruction of Israel will be anathema to the Palestinian narrative. Pals are not a people and never were - in the traditional sense. They are simply a collective of Arabs, mostly illegal immigrants from the 1930s, who were caught between Israel's independence and their Arab birth countries denying them their citizenship or to return. The narrative was created in 1964, not 1000 BC as Arafat wished us to believe. To recognize Israel would be a defeat, to take only part of the land for a State and be denied weapons to destroy Israel would be a defeat, to not flood Israel with refugees and their extended families - which are not considered refugees in other cases according to UN - to land they mostly didn't own, would be a defeat, to allow Jews to continue to pray at their holiest spot with autonomy and not to control Jerusalem in order to Arabize it WOULD BE A DEFEAT. So you understand why Abbas MUST reject these peace overtures by Netanyahu.
