1. It's a really good thing.
Ypip ,   Canada   (06.26.09)
The best thing I did was to cut back on eating so much meat, and include my diet with lots of multi-coloured fruits and vegetables...added benefits are enormous. Fruits and veggies curb cravings as well.

Shira ,   NY B"H YERUSHALAYIM   (06.26.09)
instead of cutting down meat consumption because it's healthier they blame it on global warming. These people are absolutely positively stupid.

Especially from #5 Terry who often makes sense. If Judaism were a living religion instead of a fossil, vegetarianism would be mandated. We are supposed to be a humane people.
10. Those who refuse are carbon criminals
Barry Bureaucrat   (06.28.09)
and must be punished. It is NOT ok to get on a plane and travel. It is NOT ok to keep your house heated to 72 degrees, while millions around the world are being charred to death by man-made global warming. Fight fight fight climate change... or else...

12. Meatless Monday
Ashwini ,   New York City, US   (06.29.09)
When it is becoming increasingly apparent that a reduced consumption of meat will harbour health and environmental benefits, it is wonderful to Israel taking this important step, along with the Belgian city of Ghent’s Meatless Thursdays and Paul McCartney’s Meat-free Monday Campaign. I intern with Meatless Monday, a non-profit with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health which encourages going meatless at least once a week to reduce the risk of preventable diseases while lowering our carbon footprint. The website provides various tools (recipes, cooking tips, health news) to make the transition into a lesser meat diet tasty and fun: www.meatlessmonday.com. For the facts and figures behind the campaign, the Youtube video is also a great source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpnKeYmR1NM.
