1. ultra-orthodox schools
what a disgrace!!! these parasites that do not serve in the army, do not respect other Jewish people, who do not support a Zionist state, and who do not educate but indoctrinate, deserve nothing from the state, nothing! they do not even pay taxes and they do leave out of welfare. in short, they want to tell us how to live our lives, how to be Jewish, but they are good for nothing who abuse the system and hardly know Torah u Mitzvot, Hukim u Mishpatim. Close down their schools and send their kids to a Zionist religious school!

2. Will the latest 'sport'
of throwing diapers, plastic vegetable containers ( and then grinning like evil hyenas) and slimy junk, be included? if so, they could really strengthen up by doing a pre army training course. its more (badatz) kosher than their present chillul H' and 'charpa and shunder' behaviour. Beware of these bored hoodlums in the coming three week 'season' and lo alenu, their antics in the nine days. 'Sinus chinom' they'll shriek and howl while desecrating 'Shabbos koidesh'.

3. #1 - Dribble
Why do you, from your armchair in NY, speak such garbage?
1. As I have continually maintained - Hareidim pay taxes. VAT is on almost everything we purchase; hareidim with larger families buy more therefore paying more.
2. As a Hareidi, I invite you to inspect my pay slip and those of my friends and family; I WISH we didn't need to pay such high taxes.
3. The majority of charity organisations are hareidi. One of my kids teachers is with Hatzolah; another is with Chevra Kadisha; the kids pack food baskets every week for poor (secular) families. The amount of charity is mind-boggling.
4. My kids know that 10% of every coin they receive is for charity. Do secular kids give 10% - as STANDARD - every time they get a measly 20nis spending money?
5. I do NOT live in Meah Shearim, and do not condone violence. This group is a MINISCULE percentage of hareidim
6. My kids study in hareidi main-stream schools where many of the kids will end up going to Nachal Hareidi army service, and the number is growing.
|
|
4. riot classes
will they be teaching them rioting techniques or how to milk the system dry without conributing nothing or how about extra lessons in how to avoid the army draft?
|
|
5. funds
Now evrybody knows what the shabbat riots were about--NOT PARKING BUT MORE MONEY FOR THE HARIDI. Shame on the administration
|
|
6. if...
charedi's school were opened to every jew as are seculars, it would be ok; but charedim schools are not even opened to every chareidi. so: AGAINST, nekuda; waste of public funds for sectarian use.

7. TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE
How about GIVING GIVING GIVING?
|
|
8. to #1 you absolutley right.
they just want more money. disgusting.
|
|
9. #7 and #8
See my earlier response, and if that's not enough of a response - consider this:
Do YOU consider yourself a giver or a taker? Most of us like to consider ourselves as givers, but . . .
do you want your kids kids (if you don't have, imagine that you do) to have a sanitary, healthy, safe learning environment?
do you want your kids to have teachers that are not learning at least 35% less than teachers in other schools in the country?
do you want your kids to get a quality education, according to the the norms you believe in?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above, you are also a TAKER, TAKER, TAKER, according to #7

10. Threat or promise?
“The MK claims the bill must be passed by the Knesset before its summer recess, otherwise ultra-Orthodox schools will not be able to open next year.” Is that a threat or a promise?
There should be one, and only one, school system supported by the taxpayer; the state education system. Those who choose to send their children to PRIVATE SCHOOLS (that’s what they are) should not expect the taxpayer to foot the bill (or any part of the bill) for their children’s private school education.
This is not even about separation between church and state or anti-religious sentiment; this is about equal rights and equality before the law, issues that should not be negotiable – even in a Jewish state.

11. Money for charidi schools ? YES
But , only if they follow the State program . If they want to give other lessons , free to them , but they have to pay for it .
To pay for something you can't supervise should NOT be allowed .

12. Shalom , they pay taxes ?
And again my question : They live , for many if not most of them , in the poorest Jewish towns , with the lowest income . How can they pay taxes or much VAT ?
They perform in charity organisations ? YES ! but don't they do it mostly to be REWARDED for their Mitzwoth ? I told some time ago that the DO it , but as you bring this as a argument in favor of your schools , i tell that they do it mostly to be rewarded .
