I am a Torah Jew but I have to ask myself this question. How does the burqa affect anyone else? Does the burqa force other women in society to cover their face? NO... It should be a persons right to practice religion anyway they like until it hurts another person. As a Torah Jew I am very concerned that next we will be told that Torah Jews cannot wear a schtriemel or a yarmulke in public. Next we wont be able to have a mechitza etc... If I recall, those who follow the Torah can easily prove that kippah and strimels are obligated in Judaism for the level of observance you practice...like is considered for a head scarf (not burqa) in Islam.
