They have been the architects of their own misfortune. There will never be a Palestinian state; they don't want one because they refuse to take the necessary steps which might cause one to be created. Step one: recognize the legitimacy of the Jewish people's presence in the region; step two: acknowledge the right of the State of Israel to exist. They cannot bring themselves to do that, you see.
