1. Oh sure, let them do anything and they will love
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.03.09)
Israel and stop hating the Jews. These terrorists see any kindness by Israel as weakness to be exploited. Electricity? They can live with one small refrigerator and one small tv until Shalit is returned.
2. We should allow none
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (07.03.09)
of the above until gilad Shalit is returned, safe and sound. Why are we even negotiating with Hamas at all? Let's make our conditions public: We will make it possible for living conditions for your people to significantly improve in return for Gilad shalit. Period, End of discussion.
3. Stupid...,,,appeasement wont work!
freejay333 ,   Israel   (07.03.09)
Havent we released enough prisoners and given them enough aid already with no results? Israel keeps walking the same path and falling into the same hole! Kidnap or start to exterminate their leaders.....thats the only wat to get the lifeless body of our Gillad back!
4. agree with #2
ezer   (07.03.09)
We should allow absolutely nothing until Gilad Shalit is returned unharmed
5. ANOTHER NON SOLUTION
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (07.03.09)
Although there have been elections, the same appeasing zero's still hold the same seats of power. How much time is it going to take for them to realize that we are dealing here with sadistic Jew hating killers, for whom gestures show weakness. From the beginning , we should have stopped electricity and water supplies into Gaza and Shalit would have been back within days. All these pretentious humanistic gestures show lack of resolve and are the reason we are still at war. There has not been one government in the past 60 years that has had the will and resolve to end this situation and finish a war until the total defeat of the enemy. It is about high time to realize we live in the middle east, were humanistic measurers are futile and perceived as stupidity. Instead of protecting its citizens, only political and diplomatic considerations are being used without results. Looking at our standing in the world , the more we grovel and give in, the more we are hated. It is this same lack of resolve and pride , that will lead us to the next big bloody confrontation.
6. is restrictions collective punishment?
observer   (07.03.09)
Yes, it is. Facts say so.
7. There is no other country
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (07.03.09)
B"H There is no other country called upon to supply its worst enemy. Is supplying hamas controlled Azza constitutes support of terror? Yes, it does!
8. Now let's see how much they care
Talula ,   Israel   (07.03.09)
Do they want the suffering of the Palestinians to ease up OR are they going to hang on, while they suffer, and insist on their demands to have prisoners with massive amounts of blood on their disgusting hands? I really hope the Palestinians are paying attention here. What kind of people would want murderers and filth released back into their society? They do, why? because they will continue to carry on trying to murder Israelis, day in and day out. Keep the murderers locked up, ease conditions on the Palestinians. It's simple.
9. Israel should drop Gaza on Egypt
Rick   (07.03.09)
And let Gazans remember that they are Egyptians.
10. APPEASEMENT IS WRONG AND DOESN'T WORK
HADAR ,   TORINO, ITALIA   (07.03.09)
IT'S TERRIBLE AND CARRIER OF DISASTER THAT THE GOVERNMENT OF ISRAEL HAS NOT LEARNT SUCH A LESSON!
11. Meh
Anna ,   Be'er Sheva, Israel   (07.03.09)
How many plans like that were suggested in the past few years? It feels like they're proposing something new every week or so... Can they agree on a plan and actually see it through?
12. The release of Gilad Shalit…
Dave Ronen ,   Haifa   (07.03.09)
Due to the fact that the price that Israel is willing to pay for Gilad does not include war and the fact that the continued incarceration of terrorists (in luxury conditions) does not bother the enemy very much, the optimal choice as far as they are concerned is to perpetuate the current status quo. After all, the situation in which Israel is daily humiliated and demeaned will end when Gilad is released. So why release him? More at : http://xrl.us/bezn4r
13. Interesting plan
Khalil ,   Qatar   (07.03.09)
So letting coffee, eggs, kitchenware, tea and sausage needs Barak, Ashkanzi, Prime minister, security forum, Mubarak, Obama, UN, God's approval. Is this a joke or what? And they are proud of it and announce it in the news? Do they want Plas and the world to salute their courage and mercy? I bet they expect Pals to hang Barak's photos on walls and name their new borns after Netanyahu !!
14. Who is SHALIT????
Marco ,   Spain   (07.03.09)
15. Easing blockade for Shalit
Paul Winter ,   Sydney   (07.04.09)
#5 is absolutely right; cut off electricity and water until Shalit is freed. The international community might scream like stuck pigs, but it will result in the redemption of Shalit or in the exposure of Hamas as caring more for its policies than for its populace. The shock treatment would teach Hamas not to play the kidnap game again. And for heaven's sake, if the rockets and mortars fly again, go into Gaza in full force and stay there until the place is cleaned up.
