1. Thanks to o-bum-a's threats, the terrorists will be able to
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.03.09)
transport suicide bombs more easily. And do you think arab president o-bum-a will care if Jews die because of the eased restrictions, not even a fake tear.
2. Oh yeah, what a good idea
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (07.03.09)
Going through a checkpoint and holding a toy that looks like a gun. Stupidity can get you killed.
3. The animals made her do it
Freejay333 ,   Israel   (07.03.09)
Disgusting! I am sure she was forced to do this! They have no compassion....these arabs made her flash a toy gun hoping Israel would kill her and get condemned by the worlds media! They want their own people killed for the sake of propaganda! And Weiss with Waked will continually help them demonize Israel. I cant see any other reason why anyone would do this!
4. 2 Probably not mere stupidity

When I was working miluim a few years back at the Allenby terminal, a man I'd guess in his late 50s or early 60s approached my counter brandishing a toy black snub-nosed revolver. Since I wore a concealed weapon he didn't know I was armed and could have shot him. He assumed I'd have to shout at the guard, a few meters away, and he'd have an international incident. I have police training and he was close enough for me to recognize immediately that it was a toy. So, I simply took the toy from him and there was no incident. I could see in his eyes that this was a deliberate attempt to make me think he was about to shoot me with his toy gun. He wanted to provoke an incident. I suspect this woman did as well, probably motivated by some personal shame or scandal like the female suicide bombers, hoping to redeem herself by becoming, in their eyes, a "national hero martyr." 5. 4 , again deceiving TRUE Jews
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (07.03.09)
by his so called "miluim" he pretend to have done . And telling he has good eyes so he saw it was a toy . Stupid , sometimes toys are very ressembling true weapons , so better shoot and then verify .
6. Suggested documentary: Brides of Allah ("Shahida")
Messiah King James   (07.03.09)
Suggested ducumentary: Brides of Allah ("Shahida") Jail interviews with Arab women involned in suicide attacks (or failted ones). Was especislly interesting to see the interview with Wafa al-Biss, a woman that was treated for severe burns in an Israeli hospital in the best possible manner but still planned to exploit her passage papers to blow up inside that very same hospital. Here's the video of when she was caught with an explosive belt at a checkpoint (not in the documentary): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22XEkJY62VA
7. was it a toy hand gun?
observer   (07.03.09)
because soldiers suppose that a toy hand gun is used by toes not fingers.

9. Suicide by soldier

Driven to it by domestic abuse.
10. #4 - You are right
William ,   Israel   (07.03.09)
There have been many instances and methods used by Pals to test IDF abilities or to provoke reaction. Do you remember when Hamas terrorists sent a 12-year-old girl to the Gaza-Israel border, 1.5 km away from her own home, in the dead of night to provoke a reaction? Her own family couldn't figure out why she did that since she never leaves the area and should have been in bed. These guys are just one step above the low-lives that recruit and send mentally-retarded individuals in Iraq against US soldiers.
11. #2 She was trying to kill herself.
zvi   (07.03.09)
As the article says, she said she wanted to die because of domestic violence. Read between the lines. Her husband or his family were abusing her until she was actively suicidal. In Pal society, she had no recourse. Her family refused to help her. The PA refused to get involved. She became actively suicidal and decided to end her life by going up to soldiers holding a toy gun. She's lucky. She's not dead. Neither is anyone else. Had she gone to Hamas instead, Hamas would have wired her with explosives and made a "martyr" out of her. It wouldn't be the first time Hamas took some desperate soul in need of legal or psychological help or just plain counseling, and cynically used them to murder Jews.
12. #9 100% guarantee ; what else better than a solider
observer   (07.03.09)
The technique of shooting, at least suspicious situation; peculiar to the soldiers makes the process of suicide even by the least efficient >99% potent.
13. #9 And going toward soldiers with a gun isn't suspecious?

14. To: No. 12
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (07.03.09)
The American equivalent is called "suicide by police officer." If someone rushes at a police officer holding a gun, the officer does not stop to check if it is real or if it is a toy. He shoots, usually at the head -- no aiming for the middle of the mass.
15. To: No. 13
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (07.03.09)
You misunderstood my point at No. 9. This poor, unfortunate victim of abuse wanted to kill herself. She knew the soldiers would shoot if she disobeyed their commands to halt. She coounted on them making a kill shot. They didn't; they wanted merely to bring her down. In any event, I hope she will get the psychological help she needs and will not be returned to the situation that was evidently so vile, death was preferable to continued existence.
16. #12 reading comprehension
(07.03.09)
100% guarantee? She should ask for her money back. If you read the article, you will see that the evil Zionist soldiers only wounded her. She is now safein an Israeli hospital where evil Zionist doctors are healing her and protecting her from her saintly Arab family who only wanted to beat and rape her.
17. To: No. 16
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (07.03.09)
Amen. She's 18 years old. Hope someone brings her "saintly" family up on charges. Though I doubt it. Business as usual in the PA, y'know? Hey, Hanan Ashrawi -- what's your opinion on this poor girl's plight? Where's your outrage at the abuse that so tormented her, death was preferable? Business as usual in the Palestine Authority. I think I answered my own questions.
18. #16 for her, doesn't make difference; death or in evil hands
