Disgraceful Iran policy    Steven Shamrak
1. not ambiguous at all.
Iran says they do not want nuclear weapons. The rest of the world says Iran must renounce nuclear weapons, and Obama threatens to talk about it if they don't. But guarantees them the right to nuclear power. For the 1,000th time, Iran says they don't want nuclear weapons, so again, Obama, Sarkozy, EU, UN, IAEA, G8, G20 etc. talk about an agreement to talk about it in a few months, because they want Iran to say they don't want nuclear weapons. It is called 'tacit approval'. Look it up. It is not a bunch of ineffectual talks. The talks and discussions are 100% effective, because they are only for the purpose of pacifying everyone, and to give the illusion they are doing something. The leaders have no intention at all of doing anything. They just want YOU to sit down and shut up, and think they care. Biden's comment was only intended to pacify Bibi. Like I have been saying all along, STOP trying to make sense of the rhetoric and look at what ACTUALLY gets accomplished. The global financial community wants Iran to nuke Isreal in order to pre-empt volatile unpredictability in the markets. I really don't know what Bibi is thinking about because he does know Israel is in trouble.

2. Appeasement Won't Work
Yes, I agree with the article. Israel, however, should not strike Iran. Iran's hatred of Israel is exceeded by its hatred of the Uk and that is who will likely receive the first nuclear strike from Iran---not Israel. The current Iranian leadership hates Israel only because they hate the US, the UK and Western influence. Israel is an easy and safe target for their rhetoric. I believe that the people of Iran are sick of their government, and they make take control and end the threat altogether.

3. I believe #1 is right.
President Barack Hussein Obama and much of the international community would like nothing more that that Iran wipe this "stinking corpse" of a nation-state completely off the map; this little "pest" in the heart of the Middle East, a vital region on the earth. Obama's mentor called Israel that "dirty word." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnI431s1r6s In Mr. Obama's view and the view of most of the nations, the fewer Jews the better. But just as the nations looked the other way as Germans had their way with their Jews in the nineteen thirties, so will this come back to haunt the nations.

4. What the rest of the world ( EU especially) is saying
We love Iran's oil but worried about their nuke intention. So, we are going to pretend to hate Israel for doing this dirty job. Bottom line is, Israel is not going to let Holocaust 2 to happen.

5. Talk about hypocrisy what about
Israel's 200+ nukes? Lets open up Dimona for UN inspectors? Why is ISrael the only country in the ME allowed to have nukes?? Hey, if my neighbor owns a shotgun, I should own one too.
The Arab   (07.13.09)
6. Obama's policy towards Iran is unprincipled
President Obama's interest based approach to Iran is disgusting. I wish we could deal with Iran based on principles of human rights. US should stand with people of Iran fighting for democracy. A principled base policy will benefit us all at the end. An attack by Israel will serve to destabilize the region and cause deep suffering. I voted for Obama believing in his idealistic rehtoric. I am disgusted and disappointed by his wishy washy approach towards Iran.

7. Margot what are you talking about?
Iran has no reason to hate the UK, which is a dhimmi state that has long since succombed to Islam. The British media constantly portray Israel as the ruthless aggressor while the Palestinians are always presented as poor victims. Many British MPs have talked harshly against Israel, and one official in the foreign ministry was quoted with blatant antisemitic remarks. These people would love to see Israel being wiped off the map. Hence, I see no reason at all why Iran should hate them.

8. #5 arab
So if you keep a shotgun locked in the closet for 30 years, is it okay if I get one too after telling the world I will kill you and your family with at as soon as possible? Give me a shotgun so I can kill you with it. Do you have a problem with that?
ben Ish   (07.13.09)
9. The Arab, #5
Absolutely! Of corse Israel is the only country in the ME that should be allowed to have nukes. Israel is the only country in the ME that can be trusted to handle them appropriately (as Israel has done for about 30 years.)

10. #5 - blithering idiot....
The only time Dimona will be "opened" is if the pigs in Iran make us "open" it. Other than that, it will stay nice and closed, just like it has been all of these years. Peaceful intentions toward Israel means peace. War like intentions toward Israel means war. Its up to your arab bretheren and the monkeys in Tehran to decide which you all want. We can do either.
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (07.13.09)
11. #5, The Arab, the proof?
"Israel's 200+ nukes? Lets open up Dimona for UN inspectors?" LOL! If Dimona has not been opened to UN inspectors, as you claim, then where is your proof that Israel has 200+ nukes? Or even one nuke? In fact, when did Israel ever conduct a nuclear test? Who's on first base? What's on second base? I love it when Israel's enemies get confused.
