Peru: Body of Israeli woman who fell off cliff found     Roni Gal
1. why people go to these dangerous places ?
I never understood why people go to these dangerous places. They should stay at home or at least go to less dangerous countries such as spain , germany , italy britain or portugal. I will never forget the story of jenny pope. Jenny Pope was a 50 year old british nurse that went to travel in south america.., all alone. She was kidnapped and killed in Ecuador , south america, January 2006. She never finished her lifetime journey. Stay at home.., go to europe to safe countries , dont go to dangerous far off places where anything can happen.

This is the stupidest I've ever read ! Do you really think Portugal is safer than any other place on earth? What about having a walk in Lisboa's streets and get run over by tramway?

3. #1 safe in bed?
no Peter- the only safe place is probably your bed- dangerous places- could be anywhere- you can drown on a beach in Israel, there are mountains, caves etc... don't bother to come to Spain- VERY dangerous mountains and caves and gorges, beaches etc.... Switzerland-no, France-no, the US- NO!, Canada-no, etc... see what I mean? Danger is everywhere- and a hiker is almost looking for it- It is your choice!

I have to agree with you to some extent concerning the Israeli youngsters daredevil ways - especially after release from army service. They go off in search of adventure in far off lands -something I never thought to do when I was their age. They have lost their lives in India - Australia - South American countries and for what ?

I agree with you. That was very irresponsible of her. She could ghave been kidnapped, raped and decapitated. She should have stayed home where she could have been raped by our IDF troops. At least its our troops!

8. It isn't safe there - it's just not!
This poor family. What a terrible terrible thing to have happened.

10. Good morning Ramat Avivians everywhere.
A backpacker from Peru was interviewed on the radio this morning. He heaped such praise on the Chabad people there. They organized the search parties liasoned with the local authorities, joined the search parties themselves, and saw to everything. He couldn't praise them enough. Our israeli embassy officials also helped so much. I guess Chabad are, and will always be there for us everywhere we go. How awful for poor suffering Ramat Aviv...till their kids are backpackers of course...Oh I see, not at home thank you, but be everywhere else, ok? How pathetic. May this young lady rest in peace, and at least her family can receive a little comfort knowing that special people cared for and loved their beloved daughter ע'ה at this heartbreaking time, and will bring her home to them with love, kavod and respect. May they be comforted by precious memories among all mourners of Tzion.
