Can anyone explain to me why secular Israelis, in our day and age, with all the risks of skin cancer, still walk around half naked, and everyone thinks it's totally normal; where as religious people who cover up, are called fanatical?

Personal hygiene has nothing to do with it. Every person has an obligation to be clean, and smell decent. Are you telling me there aren't smelly secular Jews as well??? I was squashed on the bus in Jlm just this morning and had the "pleasure" of someone's armpit in my nose - boy was he disgusting, - and he was definitely not covered up.
6. at beache? does skin CA affect only that small covered area?

witch I doubt,(otherwise you wouldn't look) than don't look, no body force you it got much more to do with maturity, and don't tell others how to dress, I think I can buy you a ticket to Teheran, there you will feel at home. and it's not connected to hygin more like sweat that stick to your clothed with long clothes the smell last more fabric absorb it while with short ones the sweat don't it evaporates, in other words religious people stink at summer, simple logic. and I am not the only one who claim that, much like me there r others who think that orthodox stink at summer you.
