6. Take heed, Iran
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (07.16.09)
It's not a question of "if," but rather a question of "when." This is effectively a last warning to Iran: stand down from your nuclear ambitions ..... or prepare to die. Given Iranian intransigence, I suspect it will have to be the latter. No great loss, either ....
7. True, it's all games. Israel's hands are tied
Nour ,   Palestine   (07.16.09)
, its mouth taped, and its global reputation in tatters. These exercises are just to bolster their morale in the face of inevitable change. A foolish attack on Iran would only bring death and mysery, not only to Iranians and Israelis but also Palestinians. Therefore the world is urgently called upon to check Israel's warmongering and impose sanctions in case of non-compliance. Iran is entitled to nuclear technologies and Israelis should down a chill pill. Their hegemonial monopoly is truly over. Now let's toast to CHANGE.

Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (07.16.09)
Hear, hear! I join you in your toast to change. Let's rid the world of the primitive and backward Islamic Republic of Iran, let's force the Palestinians to abandon their ridiculous pretensions to territory which has never been theirs, and then the world can get back on track. To change!!
10. Iranian warships in the Golf of Adan
Zarebin ,   London, UK   (07.16.09)
The Iranian Navy already has deployed two warships to the Gulf of Aden to help so called "preserve shipping security in the pirate-infested waters" but according to my sources within Iranian Navy (a friend) the aim is monitor Israeli activity in area. zarebin@hotmail.co.uk

15. prepare for Iran attack
observer   (07.16.09)
Yes!, for the first time Israel is defending itself, and for the first time it's the Navy which has to face Iran's warships and long-range subs.
16. WHOS threatening Who??
adam ,   london   (07.16.09)
its obviously clear Israel are preparing for a war, and NOT iran yet the world decides to isolate iran what exactly would israel seek to achieve? bombing a reactor? is that it? soon egypt ksa kuwait and dubai who have made deals with the US over similar reactors, would israel attack them too? whats stopping iran from making another one, but this time develop a bomb aswell seeing as israel attacks willy nilly israel needs to stop acting like the neighbour hood bully which happens to have some big friends...or else it is truely going to be destroyed... remember, it only takes one of these preemptive wars that israels intiaties to fail for israel to be a small chapter in history
17. #7 - Don't you get it?
Ram ,   London   (07.16.09)
No one of your fellow 1.5 billion muslims cares a hoot about the Palestinians.

It appears that all of the many Israelis I have spoken to are quite happy for what "hezbollah" and "hamas" consider to be victories. They tell me that the 2nd Lebanon war is considered a big victory for hezbollah by most arabs because the idiotic zionists didn't flatten Lebanon because of their foolishness in trying to avoid civilian casualties that so protected the brave hezbollah fighters. They also tell me that hamas is considered to have whipped the IDF's ass because they managed to play a good game of hide and seek and spot-the-fighter-in-the-midst-of-civilians or permanently in hiding underground until the fighting stopped. I must say, I admire people who are content for whatever little providence hands them but you arab people take the biscuit for that.

eddie ,   USA   (07.16.09)
Wasn't it the recently "re-elected" President of the sovereign Islamic Republic of Iran who said that Israel must be "wiped off the map". Have you seen what they are capable of doing to thier OWN people? I suppose when your sipping warm beer in a comfortable pub in London it doesn't seem so threatening.
24. to #21 hahaha hamas doesn't play fair
ghostq   (07.16.09)
that's the rulls of the game, how about Gilad situation? fair? naaaaaa so stop whining.
25. More British Media lies and hype
Jake   (07.16.09)
The British Media put the turbo to the max when it comes to spewing out garbage and lies about Israel.
26. Nour #7, why are you still here?
Jake   (07.16.09)
Your irrelevant comments are the laughing stock of this site. Don't try to grasp lofty concepts. All you need to need to know, you and all it may concern in the Balastinian, Arab, and Muslim world is in the last paragraph of the article. "According to foreign reports, the Dolphin-class submarine, is capable of carrying missiles with nuclear warheads, that are meant to enable Israel to strike in the event of an Iranian attack." What it means, Nour, is quite simple. If the enemies of Israel don't try to do any harm against Israel, Israel won't do anything to them. She will leave them alone. If they harm Israel, they will be sent to Kingdom Come with their balls in a sling. Do you get it now?
27. Who is this anonymous "Israeli official"?
Jake   (07.16.09)
The British media is expert at rattling quotes from "unnamed Israeli officials" and "anonymous sources" told "on condition of anonymity". This is the perfect way to build castles in the area. Someone should also enlighten these people that the Suez Canal is in the opposite direction from Iran and the Persian Gulf.
28. Oh Boy, do I have a deal for you!
David Turner ,   Richmond   (07.16.09)
Bush makes Iraq a satellite of Iran so lays groundwork for nuclear Iran; EU wants to continue trade with Iran so prefers sanctions, continuing trade; the Saudis across the Gulf are most immediately threatened, but fear the new super power because Shia Iran occupies their border with Shia Iraq (thank you George!), and Sunni Egypt fears unrest due to Iranian rabble rousing. The US gives now a green light, now red based on transitory and confused regional interests while its partner in appeasement, the EU, fear losing trade with Iran. So Egypt lets IDF use the Canal; the Saudis agree to IDF over flight to Iran. So Israel becomes patsy to the world, future target for the economic/military fallout to follow!
29. #18 Time waster. The "video" ...you call that worthwhile?
(07.16.09)
You are something else. A waste of 6 minutes waiting for the big moment that never arrives. Pathetic...dont even know why waste more time bothering with this stupidity.
30. Actually, this is the perfect time for war in Iran. It will
topple the religious ,   regime. Ben, Israel   (07.16.09)
