1. Religious Jews are humiliated each day
Rafael ,   Yerushalayim, Israel   (07.16.09)
Religious Jews are humiliated each day trying to enter the Temple Mount. They are taken aside and frisked, they are told what they can and cannot do on the Mount. Prayer, even silent is, forbidden. They are allowed in small groups only, and shadowed constantly by Israeli police and Moslem Wakf personel. they are told to hurry along, while non-Jewish tourists all around them are allowed to linger for al long as they want. In short, they are treated like suspected terrorists and unwanted aliens. A religious Jew wearing a shirt with "Beit HaMikdash" would certainly not be allowed on the Mount.
2. OOH..the dreaded T-shirt
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (07.16.09)
3. Shame
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (07.16.09)
Shame on Israel, shame on its people and its police...
4. Arab Culture Capital??? when I wanted to enter they also ref
ROBIN ,   miami   (07.16.09)
When i wanted to enter the police chief also refused me WHILE ALLOWING ALL THE ARABS AND GERMAN TOURISTS TO ENTER. I showed him my passport and tourist stamp and he told me you are wearing a Kippa and the Arabs dont like it when Jews enter, we dont want trouble!!!! NOW WHO IS HUMILITAED, A JEW , THE ARAB BOY OR THE GERMAN TOURISTS???
5. Ditto #1
Sarah ,   USA   (07.16.09)
and tell me, would they have been allowed if they turned their shirts inside out?
6. Not a big deal. We do it all the time
Marco ,   Spain   (07.16.09)
We don't allow Basque people to become independent. We didn't allow Catalonian language to be learned or spoken. At least we didn't have those subjugated minorities to march to Madrid and claim it to be named something else. Arab trespassers were thought a lesson. Hope they understand it.
7. Fair's fair
Anne K ,   Petach Tikva   (07.16.09)
If Jews are not allowed to pray on the Temple Mount, or even bring in prayer books and accessories, why should Arab children be allowed to wear T-shirts with political statements?
8. 1 Well said.Jews treated w/o tolerance their own land
(07.17.09)
9. Former B'Tselem investigator does not understand INCITMENT?
Eitan ,   Kokav Ya'akov   (07.17.09)
I am not allowed on the temple mount with my kippah and tzitzit, let alone a Siddur. Having a B'Tselem investigator interviewed seems pretty fishy to me. But then I am not a left wing journalist or fifth column arab supporter either.
10. #1,#7
ben Ish   (07.17.09)
I agree, this is what Arabs do: They throw flaming baskets at Jews, so the Jews use water to put out the fires, then the Arabs and the global media focus on arrogant Zionists wasting water, while Palestinian refugee infants die of dehydration. Don't expect any acknowledgment of waqf oppression when they have Arab children all prepared for the camera.
11. TREAT ISRAELI SUPPORTERS IN CANADA THE SAME?
CHOSEN WORLD ,   TORONTO   (07.17.09)
Canada should treat the supporters of this Israeli culture and regime with the same methods they use against Arabs. That might help the cause of decency and peace.
12. Funny
David ,   Philadelphia, USA   (07.17.09)
It is funny how this makes the news, yet the fact that a Jew or even a Christian who brings something as inflammmatory as, say ... the Bible ... onto Har Habayit - the holiest spot to Jews in the entire world - has such "contraband" confiscated, is turned away or is arrested. Why does that not make the news? Why does the fact that Wakf representatives on the Temple Mount are closely watching Jews' lips to make sure they are not uttering words of prayer to the G-d of Israel? Why would a Jew who prays at his/her holiest site be kicked off or arrested for doing so? Could it be that Islam is not as tolerant as many apologists for the "Religion of Peace" say it is? Could it be that describing the daily denial of Jews' freedom to worship on their holiest site would conflict with the worldview and agenda that the popluar media feeds all of us useful idiots? Could it be that people who are not brain dead and who learn of such information may reasonably question the assumption that the PA is a "partner for peace" when Jews are relegated to dhimmis at their holiest site?
13. How come I have to read the comments to understand
Wolfgang ,   Stuttgart, Germany   (07.17.09)
the context of the story? Ynet? Hello? -- Thanks: #1,4,7,9
14. I'm with the Jerusalem police on this one
Cameron ,   USA   (07.17.09)
Let's not kid ourselves, these shirts were worn as a symbolic baiting & one-finger salute to any Jews they might encounter during the day. The tour went out of it's way to make a statement, and so did the police. Everyone made their feelings clear. Next time, they'll wear a regular shirt, and skip the baiting. So much for pushing one's luck.

I feel bad for you. I truly do.
16. ARE JEWISH KIDS PERMITTED TO VISIT THE MOUNT?
........DACON9   (07.17.09)
IF YES, THEN THE JEWISH CAMPS SHOULD HAVE T-SHIRTS WITH PICTURES OF QASSAM ROCKETS BLOWING UP
17. No. 13 Wolfgang
NYC Girl   (07.17.09)
Your very concise talkback hits at the heart of the problem of media coverage of events in Israel. And you can rest assured this is exactly how the incident will be portrayed by the BBC, CNN, and others...totally devoid of any context.
18. "Whenever incident in E. Jerusalem, we don't get ambulances"
William ,   Israel   (07.17.09)
That's because Jewish ambulances are attacked in YOUR neighborhood by YOUR people. If you want city services, you must respect them. No different than the arson by Arabs in the Galilee to lure police and fire brigades out to the scene only to stone them. If you want to turn your public safety into a political issue, then fine, but municipal workers should not receive collective punishment for your Arab racist hate.
19. #3 - Shame on you, shame on Arabs
William ,   Israel   (07.17.09)
for politicizing a children's summer camp deliberately. Shame on the Arab brainwashing of children on the same order as Arafat. This is a summer camp, which appears benign to the unaided eye but follows the same ideology as Hamas' summer camp...all training children soldiers.
20. What was that t-shirt if not political incitement?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.17.09)
These kids are subject to political and religious indoctrination, then insist on the right to express the core of that ideology in a sensitive area. They have the audacity to claim they were "humiliated"! They counted on the police acting as good dhimmis and allow them to do as they please. Anyone who knows anything about Arab and Muslim history knows they believe they are entitled to be doing the humiliating. It is indeed a disgrace how Jews are restricted in their own sacred space. If the Israelis were smart, they'd adopt an "all or none" policy. Either all are free to access the site in a way appropriate to their faith or the Mount should be closed off to all.
21. #12..FELL FOR THE FALSE PROPAGANDA...
ABRAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (07.17.09)
#12..FELL FOR THE FALSE PROPAGANDA, HOOK, LINE AND SINKER. ARAB PROPOGANDA DOES WORK MAINLY ON PEOPLE WITH LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OR NO REAL OBJECTIVE INFORMATION AS WE CAN SEE IN THE POSTING OF #12..'CHOSEN WORLD" ,
22. #3..Gregg ,Haifa,..LEARN FROM THE YNET POSTS...
ABRAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (07.17.09)
THE YNET TALKBACK POSTS ARE AN EXCELLENT SOURCE OF INFORMATION TO THE READERS. MOST POSTS ARE FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND AS WE CAN SEE, THE TALKBACKS REALY DO INFORM READERS....... WHERE-AS, THE YNET ARTICLE ITSELF WAS NOT THAT HELPFUL, DUE TO THE MANNER AND ATTITUDE IN WHICH THE STORY WAS PRESENTED. JUST ASK # 13. WHO STATES IN HIS POSTING......."How come I have to read the comments to understand the context of the story? Ynet? Hello?" "-- Thanks: #1,4,7,9 " Wolfgang , Stuttgart, Germany
23. Now they know how I feel
Yos   (07.17.09)
Every time I go to Har HaBayit I am humiliated as well.
24. Now they know how I feel
Yos   (07.17.09)
Every time I go to Har HaBayit I am humiliated as well.
25. A start at least
observer   (07.17.09)
It's encouraging to see how Ynet manages to fish out such pro-bias for people they may well end up shooting when they do their military service. But even a modicum of balance in stories covering haredim cannot be found.
26. "Eventually, whenever there's an incident in east Jerusalem,
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (07.17.09)
we don't even get ambulances" says the main interviewee, a former field worker for B'Tselem. This remark is representative of the kind of field work completed by the socalled "peace organization", B'Tselem Ambulances will not go into east Jerusalem without police protection because Arab Israelis throw stones and otherwise threaten the ambulance drivers and medical personnel. Some employees have been significantly injured in the past while trying to do their job, which was, to help sick Arabs get to the hospital. Now this former B'Tselem field worker knew about the risks to Jewish medical personnel but he felt the need to condemn Israel on a false charge utilizing misleading information. As for B'Tselem, just view its website. All its board of directors are Jews and all its field workers are Arabs. It is the Arab field workers who provide the editors with raw information so that "human rights" abuses can be invoked. The field workers can provide whatever information they want, however, no matter how misleading, one-sided or simply manufactured. So in this case, the former B'Tselem field worker who has been quoted has been well educated (maybe not well enough) in the art of deception.
27. The Arab enemies use their kids to advance their sick agenda
they are enemies ,   USA   (07.17.09)
28. I agree with Wolfgang @ 13
David ,   Rhode Island   (07.17.09)
How is an international reader supposed to get a clue as to what actually took place the way the story was written?
29. Israeli 'free speech', 'freedom of worship'
Chanalau, Tova ,   London, UK   (07.17.09)
... is worth about 1/2 a prutah (less than a cent for American readers)
30. Good, they do the same to us every day.
Wise Saba ,   Netivot   (07.17.09)
The arabs don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot & then they cry foul.
