God is in our mind and should stay that way. Erecting a Temple again will imply electing a supreme religious authority body accepted by all the Jews in the world. Before that will happened Israel must achieve peace with all the nations (and religions), be recognized by all and then unite all the Jews under one set of laws ,the Ten Commandments. Only a few hundreds included in this survey cannot represent the opinion of majority of the Jews in Israel. Nevertheless, I agree that something should be done (constructed) up there so that the Jewish presence (and its right to be there) be real and palpable. But, it is still only a nice dream ofor majority of the Jews, as alone and without the direct help of Hashem a few millions of Israeli Jew are not able to convince (peacefully or by force) more than a billion of Muslims in the world to leave forever that location

However, it will be much easier to make it reappear than Tehran, which would disapper as well in such a scenario. Be very careful what you wish for.
