1. stupid in olslo the Global economic
ghostq   (07.30.09)
crises didn't exist, demand money in unreal situation kinda stupid, baaaa what they do with all the donation money? I got a preaty good idea, so put a sock in it none cares about stupid oslo or your situation.
2. If Palestinian's main export is suicide bombers...
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.30.09)
...terror, hatred and incitement against Israel and the Jews, then what did Bassem Khoury expect? To reduce taxes and encourage the inflow of civilians murderers? No SIr! NO ECONOMIC TIES WITH A PEOPLE BENT ON ISRAEL'S DESTRUCTION AND JEWS GENOCIDE! Did it ever occur to the palestinians that only TRUE PEACE WITH ISRAEL (as opposed to "without Israel") IS THEIR ONLY SALVATION? If the palestinians don't change their treacherous ways and dreams of raping Israel and of a world without Jews, they can look for work and "economic ties" elsewhere.
3. Palestine must be Free now, Prosperity and peace for all
Palestinian ,   Jerusalem, Palestine   (07.30.09)
4. Oslo
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.30.09)
Oslo in as of itself was not a bad agreement. Oslo stipulated that there would be no ethnic cleansing of Jews from their homes. Oslo stipulated that there would be no new Arab country but autonomy. Oslo stipulated that the Arabs would no longer use military means Oslo stipulated that the Arabs would no longer teach their children to exterminate Jews. The Arabs scraooed Oslo when Arafat sent his bus bombers to launch the first Oslo war against the Rabin/Peres regime.
5. when wil the Palestinians actually build something that does
JO   (07.30.09)
not depend on continious aid. Israel managed to build, schools, universities, industry and a country in 60 years, yes the early years where hard and frugal (eggs where very hard to come by, many lived in tents, food was frugal- people struggled) Do the Palestinians have it too easy? Israel had no such mass international aid yet it managed) Palestinians have far more perks yet they continually depend on international aid..........non stop.
6. He's wrong: Peace with Palestinians failed
JPS ,   Efrat   (07.30.09)
Khoury is like every other Palestinian leader who refuses to admit the Palestinians keep shooting themselves in the foot. How can you stand if your feet are shot full of so many holes? If he wants Gaza to be open and ease of movement in the west bank, then Khoury and his cronies have to adopt peace as a strategic goal, not as another method of sneaking up on Israel to win a military victory and "liberate" all of "Palestine". If the Pals want peace, then get rid of Hamas in Gaza so that the borders can be opened up for goods and people, not weapons. We're not stupid, but the Pals sure seem to love wallowing in their own mess.
7. The palestinians don't want peace..........
Wise Saba ,   Netivot   (07.30.09)
they want piece, every piece of Eretz Yisroel! Jordan is Palestine, let them go home!

avraham ,   israel   (07.30.09)
How right you are!!
9. nothing fialed. we gave them land they gave us terror.
Golan ,   SL   (07.30.09)
Oslo was a success. All that terror was called peace by Oslo's architects, Peres, Beilin, Rabin. It was the deal that was bad. We gave them land they gave us terror. We made Arab terrorists legitimate, they made us illegitimate. Of course Oslo was a success... to the Arabs. And what did we learn? That we cannot live with Arabs, peace is a farce, and the Left has a smol mind and a wrong mindset.
10. Pals just torpedoing peace - remember 1999
William ,   Israel   (07.31.09)
There was no successful economic peace? Try 1999 when the Pals had the fastest growing economy in the world, they and Israelis traveled back and forth without barriers, and businesses hired each other. There WAS peace. There WAS hope.....and then came Arafat who couldn't stand it and ruined everyone's lives with a stupid intifada that gained NOTHING. But the truth - deep inside, Pals still wish to destroy Israel despite their new wealth....which explains why they quickly dumped their jobs to join the Intifada (then complain they have no money).
11. #4 - Wrong - Oslo was a really bad agreement
William ,   Israel   (07.31.09)
The demands by Israel for Pals to stop the violence were very good, and surprisingly Arafat agreed to them....until you hear Muslims say "lying and deception are a part of war" - then you understand. The Oslo Accord was full of loopholes and pitfalls. Arafat built so many clauses into the agreement that even the slightest infraction, like the lack of water pumped into Gaza because of a water main break (act of G-d), could cause a violent disruption. I blame Peres and Rabin and the entire Left for signing such an agreement because THEY wanted peace so badly...they sold everyone else to get it.
