Alright, look closely at the Commandment: "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy", If you'll notice it says the commandment is for "your manservant and your maidservant" and "the stranger within your gates" as well. I believe this falls under the category of a Shabbat Goy as well. Just take the commandment at face value.

Let me see, if I have this right: Since my conscience doesn't allow me to whack people, I could hire a Muslim to do away with that pain in the a-- brother-in-law of mine, who, according to the Koran, is fair game by virtue of being an Infidel. Using something less drastic, am I to assume that if I had the money to hire a live-in Shabbat goy, Shabbat needed to be no different than any other day? The number of cases where a shabbat goy is actually permitted is so limited as to make the notion of having one on retainer farsical. The concept is not hypocritical since Orthodox Jews believe that non-Jews were never commanded to keep the Sabbath, and are actually forbidden to keep it. To all those putting down the concept, if you don't believe in Orthodox Judaism then thats up to you, but to argue with the concepts premise within orthodox Judaism is stupid, unless youv'e first learned hebrew, aramaic and then learned though the entire Hebrew and Bible, Talmud and commentaries in their original form.
