and who told you you are the righteous man in the Holy Land? The more times I read your comment, the lowest you fall, hitting rock bottom million times. who are YOU to condemn other people's behaviour? Do you have a mirror? do you think the image of the right Torah-follower guy you have is the one others have of you. I have already constructed a kind of image of the type of person you are, BUT I'm noone to condemn you, to hate you, to treat you as inmoral. you know what, usually those who speak about INmorality and standards, usually end up being the most Amoral of all. CHECK OUT THE MEANING OF BOTH. Then tell G-d, you are not trying to play him on Earth.
32. If it's a terror act by a islamist ...
To Swede Johnny ,   IL   (08.02.09)
the govrnment won't do a thing or they'll handle it as a political fact- and if thekller gts in jail they'll let him out immediatey after Obam orders- life's not fair ha
33. To those who criticize #2 Josh: He could be right!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (08.02.09)
Yes, it could be a hate crime, it could be terrorism. A youth club, Gay, Straight or anything is a soft target. Would a terrorist care? In fact, as homosexuality is illegal and punishable by death in some Muslim countries, it could very well be terrorism. Religious Jewish fanaticism has used words by Cabinet Ministers, MK’s and individuals to incite hatred but it is unlikely that a group of Yeshiva Bochas or ultra right wingers would resort to what can be called a terrorist attack. People seem to forget that the Homo Lesbian and Bi community are made up of real people. All is not smiles and wild parties but the norms of jealousy, hate and even criminality are present as they are in all societies. No doubt, the truth will come out and it will most likely be some sort of a hate crime but until we know the truth we must not allow our emotions to run rampant and start blaming the Ultra-Orthodox openly homophobic community for this heinous crime. It could just as well be another group of neo-Nazi youth which has taken over from the last one which beat up Ultra-Orthodox youths, Gays and foreigner a while ago. It could also a personal matter between two people which has turned into to tragedy. What is terribly sad is that more Jewish lives have been lost for whatever the reason.

Andy ,   Dortmund/Germany   (08.02.09)
This attack was just the climax of homophobic violence in Tel-Aviv, you can read it in the ,,Pride and prejudice" article of Shlomi Laufer. My reaction is written in a mood of deep sadness and frustration. I hope really that there will be thousands of people this afternoon to manifest against this barbaric act of violence.

Nili ,   Jerusalem   (08.02.09)
Apart from the tragic loss of life, the sad thing is how fast everyone jumps to conclusions and starts firing off accusations. Stop! Mourn the fallen--and let the police do their job! It could be a criminal act, it could be a random nut, who knows? Save your efforts to comfort the families. There will be plenty of time for accusations when the killer is caught.
36. to Charles # 12
Vladimir ,   Jerusalem   (08.02.09)
Dear Charles, I caught you by your words. Your write: "In my town there is one charidi who disgust me with his appearrance". So you hate a human being only for his appearance, for his traditional Jewish garb. ONLY for looking Jewish. Why should we condemn antisemites abroad? They are here, in our midst. Dear Charles, you pretend to be a civilized, sensitive person. How wrong you are!
37.  Decent people agree with R. Brauner
sy   (08.02.09)
Ignore the members of the' hate your own religion' club. They feel threatened . Gee what a shame. I feel more sorry for our troubled youth, at the mercy of some self appointed empty headed loud mouthed weird so called 'celebs' (don't make me laugh, ugh!) begging for fame in such a vulgar manner, and who do them much more harm than good. Awful role models. There must be some dignified and educated people there for them, I'm sure, but they are such a minority. These few quiet spoken ones, who shun publicity must also be embarassed by the vulgar majority, and run a mile rather than be associated with them. That's bad.
38. What are the facts?
Eliyahu ,   Yrushalayim   (08.02.09)
Can someone reason why the "alternate lifestyle" community gets so much heavier press than others? Is it they have people in high places? Though hand join in hand the wicked will not go unpunished. 25 is wrong by a factor of 10. He gets his facts from biased studies. Closer to 0.8%.
39. Now you are going overboard again.
Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim,   (08.02.09)
B"H Trying to generate political capital out of the situation. The simple fact is that political sexism used against Judaism in Israel might very well be the "cause", as opposed to what you keep calling "hate". Your game is transparent and will convcince only the already convinced.

41. #16 Showing respect - I will keep my mouth shut and reflect
Josh   (08.02.09)
I don't know where G-d stands on the issue. First and foremost I love G-d. I will not enter into His choices. In Torah "chose death" has its costs and G-d is righteous. Its clear not to chose it. I have read the curses of Torah that are far worse than this. I have seen history of our people. This matches what G-d states he will do if we become a heathen society or ones that decorates houses with pagan items such as those from Jainism. One of which was hung over our heads as a good luck charm and later in slave camps and one hangs in our homes today. (search images of Jainism) Should my children’s future include war because a cult of gays took confused teens and made tragedies in our families and our streets. We are to be a holy nation and there should not be unchastised among us regardless of the brand. We are to be careful that are daughters don't dress like sluts, so that our state doesn't fall to whoredome. What is a parade of naked men? What can I say about sex rooms for gays or the evil that was drawn to it? "If you do evil G-d will set you aside for evil" No I will keep my mouth shut for the victims who die and those that still breath as we need to see this as a battle between chose life and chose death. Its a good time to turn around. Whenever bad choices have severe consequences it is a time for reflecting and not false reassurances of cursed behavior. Silence is the best I can give and still be loyal to G-d..
42. Vladimir , first give your true name
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.02.09)
Do you think that there is only one charidi in my town ? this again proves your ignorance . His appereance contrary that of most , if not all other charidim , is disgusting . And you , are disgusting too . With your words and fake name . Please apologise , as you did already . It's not you who can talk about civilised sensitive persons .
43. # 26 Andy
NYC Girl   (08.02.09)
I hope you're not planning a visit to NYC any time soon because, while to many people, we're seen as a city that's quite gay-friendly, we're still at times plagued by groups of feral adolescents who come in from the suburbs or the outer boroughs for the express purpose of harassing gays in certain neighborhoods. But you can no more blame the city of New York for these incidents than you can blame Israel for the horrific attack that took place in Tel Aviv. So I guess you'll just have to spend your holidays at home in Germany if your criteria for a vacation spot is that it be completely free of any sort of hatred. But the other thing I would suggest, inasmuch as Israel has a very robust justice system, is that you wait until the guilty party is arrested before you decide whether or not it was a religious fanatic or perhaps even somebody with a personal grudge...and I'm saying this as somebody who absolutely loathes religious primitivism of any sort.
44. Josh 41 . loyal to a god
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.02.09)
But not everone believes in inexisting things . If he exists , tell me why he has allowed Gays to be there ? first allow them to condemn them later ? Don't come "it's their free choice" , as a believer you should think that your god allowed it . Those Gays did'nt choose death , only life . But hatefull people , no matter why or who they are , decided it differently , choose death for them . You will not be able to influence your children's future if they were born Gay . If you will try , you will only loose them , or make them live an miserable hidden ,or double , life .
45. G'd never said being gay is a sin
Joram ,   Twin Cities, USA   (08.02.09)
I urge all of you to see the truth in Avi's words (entry 23): "Being gay is not a life style, you are either born gay or straight , we have no intrest what so ever in "persuading and influencing .... ". Even more than that none of us ever CHOSE to be gay in the first place. I agree with the notion that you needn't walk half naked through the city in a parade, something most of us also don't expect from heterosexual people either. I know what the Torah says about specific gay oriented actions but all must agree G'd never forbade loving someone of the same sex. The lack of tolerance and unfounded hate is what brings us, Bne Yisrael, to the brink of destruction. We do it to our selves and G'd finishes it off. I am ashamed of all those here who, out of fear and ignorance, show such an unfounded hate for gays and lesbians. The tremendous struggles we go through are totally unknown to you. My thoughts are with the families who now face their loved ones being killed. Yehi zichram baruch! May their remembrance cause more understanding and help eradicate sinat chinam.
