31. it's just news
random reader ,   any   (08.02.09)
to some people the news is always accurate. this may, or may not be, whether it's likely isn't really a question either. iran has obviously been supplying weapons to various groups throughout the region. with ahmadinejad's verbal threats against isreal, it's not surprising that they'd see them used against isreal. on another note, borders are not hard to cross even if they are closed. just look at the US who has about 25 million illegal immigrants with roughly 12000 more that enter every day. borders are easily crossed.

then, according to you, she must be a vengeful murderous one for sacrificing so many innocent people just to protect you "the chosen"... Have you no shame or a moral compass???
33. From Armenia to Syria, through Turkey!
Cynthia ,   Minnesota, US   (08.03.09)
Ah, but there are direct flights between the two countries. Only the land border is closed. This scenario is very easily possible.
34. #5 - Faraz - already plenty of evidence against Iran
William ,   Israel   (08.03.09)
The world is just waiting to see if it implodes or needs some external help....and Obama is waiting to rush in to save the Mullahs the way Carter did in the 1970s.
35. #7 - and what of the reports of explosions...
William ,   Israel   (08.03.09)
prior to the plane hitting the ground, by people on the ground near the crash site? Is Socialist Islamic any better than Fundamentalist or Radical Islam (aka Political Islam)?

experts did not know.....the possibility...?" Well, they seemed pretty damn shocked when all of the bunkers and long-range rockets that Hamas had prepared based on IRG training were targeted and destroyed within the first few hours of the Gaza War. They were shocked the tunnel systems didn't work in moving Gazan terrorists around and in kidnapping IDF soldiers. They were equally shocked that Hizbullah didn't get off more rockets killing civilians before Nasrallah rushed across the border. So I'm not really sure you're better on the right horse.
37. #32 - Don't you give thanks to your murderous god?
William ,   Israel   (08.03.09)
You cry that Israel has no shame but it is the IRG which has no shame....to place Iranian innocent lives in jeopardy for its own murderous whims. And what of those Muslims in your country who have sacrificed entire generations to clear minefields so the IRG can pass to Iraq unhindered? Or those who freely believe that Allah (your god) gives them full permission to kill as many as they like, especially Jews, even babies. Please don't lecture us about the acts of G-d...which are made WITHOUT consulting us, anyway. Unlike Muslims, we Jews DO NOT claim to speak for Him.
38. This report is so wrong...
Ara ,   Tehran   (08.03.09)
This report is so wrong on so many levels that one can not but smell the stench of amateurish propaganda. 1. Fuses do not contain explosives. 2. Iran has regular direct flights to Syria & Lebanon. 3. Borders between Armenia & Turkey have been closed for a long while. No flights !!! And who exactly are these "exiled opposition sources" which provided this juicy information? To me, this all wreaks of yellow journalism at best... Why don't "you" just relax and watch the" Islamic Republic" implode...
39. Thank you GOD for being on our side

I like to think GOD gets mad at Islam from time to time !!!
40. stupid claims
raf ,   Tehran,Iran   (08.03.09)
1-while there are direct Tehran-Beirut & Tehran-Damascus flights, why on earth would Iran consider sending those fuses via Armenia, just imagine from Tehran to Yerevan, from Yerevan to Istanbul, from Istanbul to damascus and finally to Beirut. that would be extreme naivety from Iranian side. 2-I tried to find the original source of this "news" but to no avail, intrestingly I came across an "article" advocating the same stupid scenario published by Today.az (an Azerbaijani antiArmenian propangada website). Could it be that this is just another antiArmenian propaganda created by some ill-minded people in Baku? 3- some of the comments here are really disgusting, atleast you could have some respect for the victims of this tragedy, oops I forgut that the only victims who deserve your respect are those who were killed in holocaust.

I'm sorry buddy. As far as I'm concerned, I don't take seriously anyone, who is living under aggressive theocracial dictature on a daily basis. No wonder you seem not to be able to figure out yourself how come they didn't transfer the fuses directly from Iran to Lebanon. Gosh, I just wonder how brainwashed people in Iran really are...

1. What do you know about these new fuses? 2. Oh, really? Are you really that simple or r u just playing? 3. Are you some kind of border guard? Do you have records of every flight that use that route. Is it possible that Iranian army can use a route that is not open to civilflight? Again; r u really so simple or r u just playing?
43. Iranian Aircraft carrying explosives!
RD ,   USA   (08.05.09)
There are so many things wrong with this scenario that i can not possibly list all of them. 1- Anyone who knows anything about explosives, knows that you don't transport explosives while they are armed with detonators, you transport them in seperate containers, usually in seperate shipments. 2-Modern explosives require heat and pressure to detonate, which is provided by the fuse, and if the fuses are in a seperate container, the explosive blocks will not detonate out of the blue. The fuse itself also requres an electrical charge to deotnoate, which requres a battery, which would not be connected to the fuses during transport. A highly unlikey scenario. 3-What would the Armenina gov. feel about this little underhandedness? Would it cause a rift between Armenia and Iran, and would Iran risk it? I dont think so. 4-Why not transport these so called explosives with military aircraft or trains directly to syria, as they have been doing in past? why put it on a civilian airliner?Who is going to stop them. 4-These "external sources" who provided this report must be the MEK (Mujahedin Khalg) organization. Hardly a reliable source, and one that is pushing its own agenda. Usually with half baked lies and misinformation. Stop believing all the non-sense you read. This doesn't make any sense at all. There is plenty of evidence against the Iranian gov, without people having to resort to making crap like this up, and before you start bad mouthing me, i should say that spent 13 years in military, so i know a thing or two about explosives and how to transport them. Oh yeah, all travel between Armenia and Turkey IS STILL prohibited. But that is just a side note.
