I'm having the same problem as you. It seems to me that there has to be a paper trail somewhere as respects legitimate ownership. If the houses in question do, indeed, belong to Jews, where did these Arabs live before, what, if anything, did they own then and what happened to the deeds to that real estate? ( For the sake of this article, please, no funnies about camels tents, and sand dunes!) I'm sure that there are different laws with regard to "Spoils of War," in which case Israel should stop trying to be all things to all people, declare conquered areas as "Jewish," kick out the troublemakers until such time as somebody is willing to reconquer the disputed land and take/ give it back. In other words, if Syria wants back the Golan Heights, let them come and get it. Ditto for East Jerusalem and the rest of the geography in question. Maybe you should check our per capita economy against yours. Israel's success in just 60 years as a state, is unmatched and unbelievable. It has a huge regular influx of people wanting to live here. Even the Arabs would rather be in Israel than in "Palestine" (where they can move to any time they want). And if you want to look at failed states, other than the mess the UK made in Zimbabwe, just look at Gaza and the West Bank.
