As a Ukrainian, I condemn this act of vandalism. Many of you seem to be anti-Ukrainian. Bohdan Khmelnytsky's statue stands in Kyiv because he was successful in ending centurues of Polish subjugation of his people. Babyn Yar was done by Nazis who ravaged Ukraine worse than any country of Europe. Ukraine has made much progress toward democracy and rule of law since independence but much remains to be done, including stronger efforts to fight racism and anti-semitism among poorly educated, misguided young hooligans.
