1. Pullout mistake
Palestinian ,   Jerusalem   (08.09.09)
Your pullout is a mistake, but keeping your dirty occupation over my head is right, funny
2. Loud and clear
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron-Israel   (08.09.09)
The message Fatah sent to Israel and naive Obama is loud and clear. There is no such thing as moderate arabs. There is no peace partners. Reality is not like Mr. Obama wants but like it is. We should react accordingly!
3. They MUST recognize us
Phyllis ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.09.09)
HORRAY for Netanyahu on the stance he is taking. Although I didn't vote for him I agree completely with him when he says that we won't move from our position that, before anything, Hamas, Fattah etc MUST RECOGNIZE US. He should also add that there won't be another word until Gilad Shalit is returned.
4. TALK IS CHEAP AND I DONT TRUST BIBI
zionist forever   (08.09.09)
So far it looks like Bibis intial tough stance is crumbling and he is slowly accepting more and more of Obamas demands despite all his tough talk. So far the only reason he hasn't made more concessions is because of his coalition but I don't think thats going to last much longer. Barak the man who first crossed the red line over no dividing Jerusalem and put it onto the negotiating table for the first time is much more open to accepting US demands and he is struggling to keep his party together. At some time in the near future he may decided to take on Bibi so he can say to the Labour party look we are a party who believes in peace process & and I am the man to lead you. Bibi probably has at best 6 months before cracks start appearing in his coalition with Obama pushing him harder and harder hoping the government fall and he will give as much behind the scenes support as he can to Livni to get her elected because she will do as she is told on any issue. I certainly don't trust Bibi on the Syrian front. He was willing to trade the Golan before and I don't see any reason why he won't try again. Its PROBABLE he will try and do a deal with Obama where he will allow Israel to keep some settlements etc with the palestinians and in exchange he will give Assad the Golan so Obama can get his legacy. Less speeches and promised from Bibi more action.
5. While Jews are being pulled out of their homes daily
Shalom   (08.09.09)
Netanyahu foolishly states "We will not repeat this mistake. We will not create new evacuees." Netanyahu, if you want to show leadership and courage, stop pandering to the anti-Semites out there, including the US Muslim President, the UN Terrorists and the European Leaders. Stop destroying Jewish homes and outposts, stop the building freezes and start building in all the cities of Israel, including Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria.
6. israel must stop there attacks on pallestinians
D.. ,   Haifa   (08.09.09)
in order for the palestinians to stop defending themselves , israel must stop teaching there children that the palestinians are animals , and thats why we treat them as such . palestinians are human who only want peace and security for there children . israel must stop its never ending excuses ,for not making peace with the palestinians , its very simple , end the occupation , the settelments , give east jerusalem back , and that is all it takes to have a neighboer that will protect you and your citizens like you have not seen before from any other nation , both palestinians and israelis will gain from a peace treaty signed by there leaders , israel must get rid of all the fanatics , like the settlers and the kahanas , in order for the palestinians to take a serious step towards getting rid of its fanatics like hamas and jihad , stop asking the palestinians for consetions , while you the israelis are making none what so ever . israel never pulled out of gaza as a military force, and the biggest proof is the huge misereble conditions the gazans are living today , israel helped put hamas in gaza , and to put it in better words , israel made sure that hamas takes over gaza , in order to make sure that there excuses never end . it is well known world wide that the palestinians are ready and doing everything in there power to make peace with israel , the ball is in israel's hand's now , and the whole world is hoping it dosent cry foul , israel must understand that it is important now,and without any delays , to start making peace , time is not on its side , and if not this could be disastrous not only for them ,but for the rest of the world ...
7. occupation
asoosy   (08.09.09)
the prob of the mid-east will never end. save lives and live as peacefully as you can, no more fatalities, looses or economic failure. the situation we last for long
8. Game is over, get used to it
Ann   (08.09.09)
9. Fatah fired the first shot of a legitimate Resistance
Palestinian   (08.09.09)
10. No repeat of Gaza - I agree
Sushi   (08.09.09)
The Gaza disengagement was doomed to fail from the beginning. There was no co-ordination with the Palestinians because there was no intent to let Gaza free. It was turned into an open-air prison and nothing changed for the people in Gaza except that they could drive around inside without being stopped at Israeli checkpoints. Goods and people were still blocked from entering and leaving, how were they expected to get their economy going under those conditions? Israeli pilots had lots of fun breaking the sound barrier over Gaza and scaring old people and little kids. Gaza is " Free" is a sham - designed to strengthen Israeli control over the West Bank. Of course Netanyahu has no intent to pull out settlers from WB.
11. What Mistake AGAIN?
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (08.09.09)
The West Bank and Jerusalem are Israeli property. Plain and simple. Obama would not give Montana to a group of uneducated illiterate terrorists that celebrate death. The Palestinians have that wonderful seaside community of Gaza That is their only home as NO other Arab country wants them for anything more than cleaning toilets.
12. Amen, brother Bibi. Stick to your guns. But the dreaded
Rivkah   (08.09.09)
covenant with death that Daniel in the Bible spoke of will come to pass unless world leaders turn en masse to the Lord of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and confess they cannot solve the world's problems and ask Him to take over rulership of the earth. The Messiah would do that and all the terrible prophecies of the Great Tribulation and nuclear holocaust and diseases and famine and natural and manmade disasters and wars could be averted according to the last chapter of Malachi. There are two outcomes before the world: surrender to the Lord and have peace or continue under Satan's rulership that will lead to destruction and the deaths of most people on earth.
13. Bibi will attempt to make all new and different mistakes?
(08.09.09)
Since Israeli Jews claim everything in sight as their own, and insist on recognition from the Palestinians, which would validate their claims. The Palestinians are forced to match them, claim for claim this is a negotiating stance. Israel knows the value of making extravagant claims. They do it often enough, it is a learning process for the Palestinians.
14. #1 - Goliath in the Bible was a Palestinian - you are not
Doron ,   Israel   (08.09.09)
You are from Arabia. And you are the occupiers of a dozen nations. The real Palestinians were a non-Semitic sea people who invaded from Crete, documented in the Bible. The word Palestine you have chosen to call yourselves, derives from the Hebrew verb Palash, which means to invade. And now you proudly call yourselves invaders and want to create an INVADIA state, while you lie and pretend you are the native people of Palestine. Your media is fake, your culture is fake, even your religion is fake. You are a people with a fake history and fake everything.
15. both rhetorics are unacceptable: Fatah's and Israel's
Krzysztof ,   Heidelberg, Germany   (08.09.09)
This escalation of rhetorics is a way to derail peace. On both sides. While Palestinians cannot condition restarting talks on releasing their prisoners (because many of them sit for terrorism), Jews cannot build settlements and speak as if their pullout from W.B. had anything to do with ethnic cleansing. No. Settlers are there temporarily, due to international law - illegally, partially sit on stolen land, while some are even illegal from the Israel's law point of view. Really both should stop this collision course. Jews should withdraw settlers, and Palestinians should create a responsible state. Peaceful initiatives should be amplified. Divide the land around Green Line (modulo some swaps) and end this idiotic conflict, which only entangles Israeli youth in moral dilemmas.
16. Mr. Netanyahu but
(08.09.09)
The Gaza evacuation mistake is you never really left the place. You rather left the land that never belonged to you, act as if you deserve reward fot it , and think you are virtuous for doing so at the price of thieving other Palestinians land. You created an open- air prison in Gaza, controlling all natural resources, roads and all aspects of the peopld of Gaza
17. @15 never thought I would with a German ;)
someone ,   somewherein Israel   (08.09.09)
I totally agree, put your EGO'S aside!!!
18. #6 Please resume taking your meds
Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (08.09.09)
19. #17 not as you think
Krzysztof ,   Heidelberg, Germany   (08.09.09)
I am not German but actually Pole with Jewish roots working in Germany now. Unfortunately, my experience tells me, that talkbacks of israeli newspapers bar publishing my posts if I write "Poland/Warsaw" - probably they find mismatch between IP and stated address. Anyway, German or not German. Ideas are important no matter who says them, but what they contain.
