32. You Consider Fatah Calling For The Murder Of Israellis Good?
What commitment to peace? The Fatah congress showed uncompromising potions such as right of return which overnight vanquishes the state of Israel, and if that demand is not met they reserve the right to murder us until they get all the land? What Mr. Oppenheimer are you smoking?

34. Fatah charter calls for the destruction of Israel
and has not been amended, as was pointed out by Mohammed Dahlan and others at the recent Fatah summit in Bethlehem.
Also, Oppenheimer is dead wrong about the renouncing of 'right of return'. The Fatah delegates pledged their commitment to the 'right of return' to villages inside Israel.
Perhaps Oppenheimer and co. are also in need of their own state - called La La Land - to go along with Fatahland and Hamastan.

35. cynic #2 try reading the UN Charter
General Assembly resolutions are ADVISORY only. Both 181 and 196 are illegal. They violate the UN Charter which is the highest international law.
So continuing to harp on two illegal resolutions that have absolutely no legal standing is a waste of time and effort.

36. The Arabs have their collaborators, and we have ours.
Yariv Oppenheimer should be grateful that he was born a Jew and not a "palestinian", and that we don't do to our collaborators what they do to theirs. Someday, an enlightened Israeli public will place Yariv Oppenheimer's name where it properly belongs, next to that of Benedict Arnold, Vidkun Quisling, Philipe Petain, Tokyo Rose and Lord Haw-Haw. Oppenheimer is not some "idealist" or pacifist, he knows exactly what he is doing. His goal, and that of "Peace Now", is the eventual erasure of the Jewish State of Israel.

That being said it not the time for Palestinian put down dream peace plan. They most meet each of Israel red lines while they still can be for death finds them.

39. Another Jew in psychotic denial
Why does the Israeli media give so much space to the few unbalanced and naive idealists who can't comprehend they have an enemy that wants Israel's destruction more than they want peace. This enemy continues to talk about distruction of Israel more than the acceptance of peace. What is wrong with these people's percaption?

41. I consider people like Yaniv to be a fundamental religeous
leftists. He is so religeous in his worshiping "god of peace" that no common sense can make a dent.
I am very simpathetic because peace is his faith and it is not rational. You can not make religious person secular by pointing to facts. It is an emotional.Pity on him but this is life.

44. #41 Oppenheimer does not worship "Peace"
The agenda of "Peace Not" has done NOTHING to achieve "Peace" and wherever "settlements" have been removed, the opposite of "Peace" has occurred.
Oppenheimer worships himself, and money, and his objective is to get a bunch of attention for himself and money from the EU and the Saudis, even if it means treason against his own country.
I see he has a new photo, in profile, in a vain attempt to make himself look "intelligent" instead of that photo that made him look like the piddling moron which he is.

45. Yariv is doing peace a disservice
Having read a number of commentators who actually understand Arabic and are depressed by the decisions of the Fatah Convention and it's commitment to the continuing struggle, return of the all the refugees, non recognition of Israel as a Jewish state etc. Yariv Oppenheimer does a grave disservice to peace by ignoring all of this and making it all up as he goes along out of wishful thinking.
Those of us Israelis really committed to a two state solution will not be helped by denying the reality of the Palestinains stated positions and need to demand of the Palestinians what we demand of our leaders. Nothing less will work.

46. Fatah: rational?
Rational, perhaps in contrast to Hamas and Hezbollah. As long as that outrageous PLO/Fatah covenant remains unchanged; as long as Fatah continues to oversee the incitement of Arab masses toward the demonization of Jews/Israelis, I see no "hope from Bethlehem"
