Matriculation results in Fureidis have set a new standard for Israeli schools. The methods used there to improve the acheivement of the villages's schools should be emulated all over Israel. I'd like to know what percentage of Fureidis teenagers had to hire out of school tutors to help them succeed, versus the same percentage in all the other top school districts.
8. #2 Indeed, no comments needed.

You forget that the statistic includes teens who study in Yeshivas, rather than an indication of failure in studies. They simply don't have all the core studies that allow them Bagrut eligibility. And considering the fact that the vast majority of people who take this path receive a postponement from the army as they continue into higher Yeshiva studies, which also means they're *legally barred* from being employed anywhere in this time... Bagrut gives them nothing, hence the claim that it "prepares them for life" is a bit meaningless. Better for them to have some intensive night-class studies later in life just before before going on to study in other professional training courses or a higher education, than to get a piece of paper that will become meaningless, and the knowledge it supposedly indicates lie forgotten and unused.
9. Roman , they don't want to integrate
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.13.09)
Where did you take : ....teens who study in Yeshivas [ is'nt the plural Yeshivot ? ] If you are right , we can understand more that they don't want to integrate in the Israeli society , become productive , but stay poor and retarded .
