Unless the bureaucrats muck this up, Israel should be almost energy independent within ten years. (It'll still need refined petroleum products.) That's the good news. The bad news is that politicos in the US are guaranteeing energy dependence well into the future. The new administration locked up another few million acres from energy exploitation shortly after coming into office. Many Alaskan fields are still off limits. And fields off the Florida coast are still closed to US drilling, but those same fields will be tapped by Russian drillers in Cuban waters. Way to go, Dems. (Morons all!)
